Brisbane Bin and Recycling

Trying to find out certain recycling materials. Essentially just freezes "retrieving data".

The alerts don't work very well - even though I've selected 'all' I find that I need to reset it every week. Easier just to put the reminder in my calendar app.

WHERE DO I START?!?! This app is full of bugs! Do not install. I repeat, DO NOT INSTALL THIS APP!!!! I chose to use the alerts to remember to put my bins out...Big mistake! Don't trust this app, it's not worth it!!! Not only has it told me to put the WRONG bin out (which I noticed before hand, thankfully) it has also forgotten to even send me a reminder this week...To which I was not so lucky to notice, thus I'm stuck with a FULL recycle bin...This app won't even let you report such bugs, typical BCC, doesn't want to hear when they have made mistakes.

The app has our pick up day as Friday. It is actually Thursday.

Very useful for checking if it is a recycle or green bin day.

Seriously stop wasting our rates on crap like this. A calendar with dates does not need to be a native app... Just make mobile friendly website ffs. Shouldn't have to enter my address. Should use device location.

My suburb (nor any surrounding suburbs) are in the suburb list. Bloody useless app GRRRRRR

Have used it few times now when dont know which colour bin to put out. Samsung Galaxy Note Edge.

Bought the app, would only go to the home screen, nothing happened with no options to enter the app

Doesn't load. Stuck on start screen.

Nexus 5. Reminder function doesn't work. Set it to remind and it tells you to put your bin out, four days before being collected. Fix it guys. Update - new app update promised to fix issue with reminder not working. Shock horror. It still doesn't work......

This is a great app with lots of information to assist in managing bin collections and what to recycle. The alarm can be set to remind you for all collections or just one collection. Great help!

If a Brisbane Council made app CAN NOT RECOGNIZE and address in Brisbane city...what can you expect from the app?? (That can not use because of that). Ask the GENIUS that designed the app to give the money back to the Council. OH!, and please Brisbane Council need to be better and hire someone that actually knows about this things. Thanks. Brisbane citizen.

Giving app 2*, ok for just viewing calendar of when your rubbish day is, but it does freezes when I try to view kerbside collection.

...and time as well. Did someone even test the app's reminder feature before rolling out? NEVER WORKED! Without it this app is a big vomit of the council's website, why would someone need an app to browse it?

The bin is where this app belongs. Full of bugs and freezes up all the time. Useless

Was working in fine until update this week, just a splash screen now.

(Samsung Note 3) I have deleted it and re-downloaded it several times and it is absolutely USELESS.

Useful app but why does in need to ask you if you are sure you want exit the app if i know which bins i need to put out why wouldn't I want to exit the app

I always wondered how other people remembered whether to put recycling out!

My rates at work! Easy to use, quick too. Forget the bin schedule for recycling? Quick look up! Watch my moron neighbours put there's out for nothing! Haha loser neighbours, they need to get this app!

The reminders come up on the wrong day. They need to come the day before collection so you can put the bin out that evening.

I keep getting the "Brisbane Bin has stopped" error message when trying to set the reminders (which have also stopped working). Also, I'd like to be able to customise when I get the reminders. On the upside, the info about what can be put in the different bins is really good (I haven't been recycling pizza boxes because of cheese stuck on the bottom, so good to know that's not a problem).

When I type in my street name it comes up but when I select it and press "go" it says cannot find address. So completely useless

Decent idea, but the reminder doesn't work, and report a problem shouldn't be make a phone call. Also hard to search what is and isn't recyclable.

Simple, effective and very informative. Please note: If you find your address is not listed/invalid. Try again. Select the suburb, tap Street input field and enter the first few characters of your street and then wait a few seconds as they will appear like the suburb does in a drop down list. Select your street from that list. Type in your house number. Then hit Go. It does work. If it still doesn't work, please submit an enquiry to the developer and they can look into and get back to you. No point giving 1 star and not giving them the opportunity to resolve your issue.

This is a basic app but delivers what it needs to.

Regularly receive a message saying "Unfortunately, Brisbane Bin has stopped". Occurs on both my Galaxy note 8.0 Tablet and Galaxy Ace plus phone. App needs some more tweaking to become reliably usable.

What a brilliant innovative idea for internet users & now no need to suffer through calling the council call centre to get advice. Love it.

Any address in Chermside is not found. Uninstalling usless crap.

Finally I no longer need to go into the BCC website to find my bin removal days. Love the Materials section which details how people can dispose of different items correctly.

Very helpful, but I'd like to be able to choose my own time for the reminder, looks at the moment that it's set to tell me at 8pm on the night before bin day.
