Move to iOS for Android
What really irritates me is that people are giving this app bad reviews because they don't like ios, this is a app for people who DO like ios so if your not moving to ios don't post a review on this app. (Btw I don't hate android or iOS I actually like both and they are both have there pros and cons)
I initially had an issue where the transfer would lock up and then error out. Read a tip that said to put the Android phone in airplane mode when doing the transfer, something about an issue with the two phones on the same WiFi. That worked perfectly. This app was super helpful. (Nexus 5 to iPhone SE).
You Android people should be ashamed of yourselves. Just because it's an Apple app doesn't mean that it's awful. It worked perfectly. Yeah, I still have an Android phone and now I have an iPhone. The rudeness is just ridiculous. Acting like a bunch of 10 year olds. Oh and "Apple is desperate?" I don't see any Android phones backordered for two months. Childish butthurt Android fans.
This app continued to crash over and over again. Stating "try again later" I kept trying move then 10+ times and did not transfer any of my information it got stuck at 44% and crash.
I dont think there is any phone as good as note 7. Too bad they had to kill it due to batttery problems. I would switch to s7e. Only reason i might switch to iphone is because of good camera. Other than that iphone is way behind in everythjng.
Do you guys giving this zero stars have any idea how absurd you sound? It is a consumer product, not a political revolution. It is a tool. Why are you so invested in promoting a corporate rivalry? If you think your phone choice makes some big statement about you as a person, your personality is clearly lacking to begin with. This is just truly sad consumerist shilling.
It copied contacts, messages and calendar. Great. For email, it set up only my gmail account, 'forgetting' about other four. For corresponding apps, it installed/informed about only a handful, most of which I had on android disabled/uninstalled anyway as they were Samsung bloatware. Well done. Had to look myself for other apps I use (exactly same names on iOS as android),then setup email.. Anyway, getting back to Samsung after all, iPhone, although pretty, proved very limiting my moves and choices. Sorry, love!
This app only works when you're setting up or resetting iPhone. I also took the previous reviewer's suggestion of removing wifi settings on both phones. This helped make the process of transferring the files easy. However, not all of the apps got transferred, which was expected, and a few of the photos my daughter sent me by text ended up in separate text messages. That being said, I highly advise backing up the Android phone prior to transferring any data.
So, as I say goodbye to android (for now); after taking 3 days to decide weather to remove the wrapper from the iPhone and keep it, I committed. The app easily transfered all my messages (texts), photos and even apps (that are also available on iOS). It doesn't transfer app data (such as whatsapp messages, which sucks) but that would be a big ask. App was easy to use and worked. What more is there to say. HTC M8 running Marshmallow to iPhone 6s on iOS 10.
Yes iPhones are more accessible but for a more powerful phone and one with more customizability and freedom, stay on an Android. The closest you can get to android on iOS is through jailbreaking, which is what I did before I got my first android phone. It was awesome but for a vanilla phone no mods, androids are better. Case in point, apple sucks at making phones
Let's be realistic apple is okay if you use it for simple things like business but if you want true freedom then android is the way to go because you don't get nickle and dimed at every corner. Those defending apple need to wake up and smell the modern day coffee. Apple has a lot of features that are still stuck in the past especially when it comes to there ios. But apple tech always seems to be three years in the past.
OK so I thought this app was going to be like if someone was an android user and they wanted to swap to an iOS user! But I was completely wrong! The way you are supposed to use it is actually kinda good! All you have to be aware of is to read the title very carefully! Yes I'm probably going to undownload it, but well done this app is very useful
Please note this will only work when setting up an iPhone for the first time. It will transfer all your photos, messages & apps (if there's an android version on Google Play). Found it to work fine but I still prefer Android. This does NOT delete anything from your Android phone, it simply transfers it.
This application works great if you know how to use it. I have been a die hard Android fan since I started buying phones. I made the switch to Apple not too long ago. I followed instructions on the Apple website, with a few tweaks. On my Android I turned on Airplane mode. This made it transfer way faster and easier than the continuous crashing. Don't bash Apple just because you don't like the security, that's not their fault. But apparently customization is more important to some people instead of security. I like both OS they have both pros and cons.
DOES NOT WORK. Absolute ribbish. You would think that they would spend time on this app. Went to store, they cant get it to work either. Going from a Samsung s5 to iphone 7. Apple cant even get this right, waste of time.
Rather, I bought an iPad air 2 (2 in fact, 1 for me, 1 for the girl) in order to have functioning bluetooth in my 2017 Mustang GT... I had a Note 7, which was perfect, but we all know how that went, dont we? So now I'm stuck with a V20 that constantly skips while playing music through my car's bluetooth... AND ITS NOT A FORD PROBLEM! Both my LG V20 and my Mustang are up to date (Ford Sync 3) yet my Note 7, Note 4, Note 3, girlfriend's S7 and my old iPhone 5s work flawlessly over BT. Thanks LG.
Dont get iOS! They treat all their users like prisoners with a bag over their head and they dont know anything but Android is like running free in a field and I feel like I can truly make my phone my phone.
The game play in this is very repetitive and boring. It's really lacking any story elements at all. Not even the multilayer is fun. Overall not a good game. 2/10
Great App. Don't let the reviews put you off. It's obvious there is a lot of what can only be described as hatred from some android users towards Apple. I have moved back because I found ios faster, more stable and genuinely a better user experience. I'm not a fanboy and can appreciate both operating systems. It's nice that Google allow an app that allows android users to make the switch. I would imagine this will be happening more and more now following the problems with exploding batteries.
If you have Android, why would you ever change to Apple. They cost more, they are less customizable, and all out just trying to rip off Android. Seriously, not even the phones can keep up. Samsung has a cheaper costing phone that has a better camera, better processer, better battery, better everything. And you can get VR on it. You can't do that with Apple. Instead, your stuck with a phone without a headphone jack. Never use this app please. I hope you don't need to.
Apple sucks. Basically it has restrictions on its phones and you need to jailbreak it...but it is different on Android. Even Windows surpasses my standards! And come to think of it, Apple does not release any transfer to other phones...all because it is so protective of its users. My only protip for Apple is: be more open
Too many Android fanboys giving it bad reviews. I liked the one horrible about both Apple and Microsoft being evil and that eveyone should change to Android and Linux. That just goes to show how tech savy most Android users "think" they are. Android is Linux just a different distribution like Ubuntu, Puppy, or Fedora.
I haven't used it but I saw that the rating was 2.5 so I just had to contribute. You know, Apple doesn't even belong to this planet, let alone Play Store. iPhone is for iDiots.
This is absolutely ridiculous. I have been trying to transfer from my note 7 to the 7 plus after being forced to leave my note behind. My passed away the day I got the note so transferring texts & photos is imperative. I was soooo skeptical about leaving Android behind this horrendous app isn't isn't helping soothe my concerns in the slightest. I don't know what else to do to transfer my data. I can't back it up on my Mac and I can't lose these texts... I am livid.
Negative review after review states that Apple sucks because they don't make an app to transfer from Apple to Android. LOL - Wake Up! Google didn't make this app, Apple did, right? Google merely hosts it. Can you follow the logic? It's not Apple's job to encourage you to switch to Android, that's Google's and their army of OEMs. It's THEIR job, NOT Apple's, to make it easy for you to switch from iOS to Android. Fanboys...ridiculous no matter what they support.
Are you reviewers seriously arguing if apple is better that Android of vice versa??! There are people being murdered in terrorist attacks, people dying from cancer, and your worried about your stupid expensive phones? This app is fine and gets the job done.
I guess if you don't do it when you first get the new IPhone. You will have a hard time getting a code again to do the transfer because there's no app to just pull it up.. Smh
This app made me realize that Android users are the most annoying bunch of babies who still live in their mom's basement. Apple doesn't care about your sad and petty comments. You people treat Apple like they're starting a genocide, or killing puppies. Great app for those who want to move to a more secure OS, with guaranteed updates, rather than have an Android device where the OEM decides to no longer support, so it's full of security holes. But hey, customization is more important than security, right?
IT DOES NOT WORK! I have got this so many times thinking it may be a bug but it never works. It said that I can't switch. If you put this out there then you have to make sure it works. I would love to make this 0 stars.
The negative reviews here are definitely funny. Crybaby cringy fanboys upset for no reason. 5 million downloads of this app should tell you something.
If close to 50% of reviews gave 1 star, the other close to 50% gave 5 stars, believe those who gave 1 star. This apps does not work. Wasted 3 hrs to know this. I was force to switch back to iPhone because of note 7 recall; further confirm to me that iPhone is an outdated device in terms of Apple apps and phone function and look.
So iPhone gives 10 digits, enter into app nothing happens. #AppleFail. Then apple ID fails to send verification code. Apple support useless. Took phone back got a new Samsung Edge now.
Thanks so much. I loved my android and was planning on switching to iphone anyway. Being able to transfer 11gb worth of to my new iphone so easily was fantastic. Also, after seeing all these butthurt comments about apple I doubt I'll be going back to android anytime soon. Js you all in the comments seriously need to chill.
Wow so you make an app to transfer from Android to iPhone but you don't have an app to transfer back if they're unsatisfied with their switch and lose all of their contacts messages data Etc apple is just plain evil and needs to die like the long-distance companies of the eighties and nineties
You made an app that can transfer all user data to a different device, with a different OS. But if they want to switch back to Android, they'll have a hard time finding a simple app to do the job, because iOS is so restrictive. Android is open, and you should be too. Write a license if you must, so people don't abuse your code. But don't lock them into your ecosystem, and make them lose everything if they want to go back.
I didn't hire a hitman to kill Steve Jobs so Apple could make this offensive app. The thing is, I'd be ok with this if there was also an iOS to Android app, along with an iOS to Windows Phone. Apple would never allow these things to happen. Sort of like Nazis. Come to think about it a lot of the reasons I hate Apple are similar to the reasons people hated Nazis. To round this off I just want to point out that Android's dictionary has iOS in it, but Apple's doesn't have capitalized Android in it.
Great app if you knew about it. Not so great if you need to transfer data into a iphone you just broke a week in with, grew to like and tweak, and just need to port a few contacts. For all the talk of making things simple Google still does a better job moving my info between phones instantly thats y I went a week without thinking to get the rest!
So, glad to see the draconian Apple is breaking its own app guidelines. Whatever happened to "no reference to other mobile platforms"? Even if it's not on the surface, it's also banned from being in the source code. Thanks for the sucker punch. Goodbye.
Google please remove this ridiculous app... Apple will NEVER allow a similar one on their "App store"! Android is a light years ahead of iOS! Apple brainwash people to make them buy their products... It's the same as someone trying to convince you to buy a Mercedes made in China... No thank you!

... didn't move all my contacts, including one of my 5 most called numbers. Might be worth adding adding a report to let you know what was moved (or better yet, what wasn't). Holding on to my old phone for a while longer to see if anything else was missed.
