Overlays Pro for Android
25OCT16: Bought this app after 5 minutes of use. Z-Layers features are handy. Look for my review of the parent application "Overlays - Float Everwhere" for this Licensing Unlocker App! No unnecessary permissions or nag-ware. Great Developer.
Great app and developer is committed to make the app as user friendly as possible :) New update rocks! MUST buy if you're an android user :)
Best widget overlay app available. stable, flexible and dev is very active and listens to user requests. App development done the right way.
Maybe the usefulness of this app is too far over my head, because I could never figure out what good it was. I've been using computers since the early 80's, am quite proficient with them, and still use for this evades. All I got it to do is make a low resolution icon/widget looking thing I didn't like. Maybe a video demoing it's potential would have helped this visual learner? Or maybe I simply don't need something like this, but had hoped I would by it's description. I found it counter intuitive at best.
I realise that this is designed for phones, but was hoping to use it on a Galaxy tab s2 8.0... The app won't open, nor is it possible to add a widget from the widget chooser... I us either o an lg v10 with no problems.....Update.... I must say that this was all my fault, and thank the developer for being kind and showing the error that I made.. His response was greatly appreciated.
I have some requests, though. (1) Can you add an option to toggle the "double-tap to close profile"? I often accidentally close my profiles. (2) Would it be possible to have a per-activity profile or a per-activity blacklist? Example, I'd like my profile to show only when I'm on the home screen of my launcher, not when I'm in the app drawer or when I'm fiddling with my launcher's settings. (3) Would it be possible to add an option to choose the minimizer icon for an activity profile? Thanks!

You can't live without it.
Awesome
Like and use often
Great and useful
Working again
Fantastic when it comes to individual apps. Would like to see the option to have global persistence just on home screens, not to be active when you open, say, the app drawer. Not sure if what I'm asking for is possible. An overlay much like the persistent google search widget is what I'm looking for, for my clock/weather widgets. Unless I'm missing an option somewhere, I don't see the ability to do just that. Good job otherwise, keep up the good work. Htc one
One bug though, camera pro overlay, thumbnail doesn't go to album or give you choices really, would like more choices here. Like file path option. Also it would be great to have a follow up app with base widge features. I'm constantly being let down by other pad widgets not doing what I need them to.
Need a Tasker plugin for it for more programmability to if x equal y and this program is opened between midnight to 1am then launch overlay. Yep. E=mc2.
It's very handy for doing tricksy things with your mobile.
Great way to set up widgets for any scenario. Great app and feature rich.

Using widgets over commonly used apps is such a great idea and makes a lot of common things (like playing music when maps is running or checking the weather while making an appointment) really easy. There are still some minor bugs but the dev is very active and supportive.
My 4 year old loves mobile games, however even kids games come packed with inappropriate banner ads, many with no paid option, that she often clicks by accident and she is too young to avoid this or return to game alone. The overlay in certain apps protects her from viewing or being able to unintentionally click without preventing the devs ad from being downloaded. As for any "per click" revenue lost Id find anyone using this revenue model in an app for young kids very immoral to child & advertiser anyway.
Fast response from the developer for a question I had - thank you!
You can't live without it.
I've made some progress. And with the help of the dev he/she helped me understand how this works. I have another project in line that will use this app and I hope to boost it to five stars then!
I was having an issue with force closing. Developer contacted me quickly and it seems that a simple reinstall was all it took. The only improvement I can think of would be in the "Widget Shortcut Overlay" to add the ability to make the shortcut smaller (right now no matter how small you make the icon and remove the label it still takes up a lot of space and can't be moved all the way to the edge).
Marvelous!!

Has improved greatly since I first started using it. Works well. I use it for my music widgets with Google maps or waze open.
Widget(s) anytime, anywhere.
Not sure if this is still being updated but would it be possible to position overlays relative to minimizer? In my use case it would be great to have a popup menu of shortcuts appear directly above minimizer wherever it is moved instead of a static location. Otherwise it's great and has functionality i haven't seen elsewhere. Thanks dev!
When swiping sidebar does not show up,after updating.
There is quite a bit to this app. A lot of features I wasn't expecting.
Somewhat useful, but nothing one can't live without. An xposed addon or some other gimmick to allow running a random app over lockscreen would have been more useful than the paid overlays available now.
Great way to set up widgets for any scenario. Great app and feature rich.
Very useful and genius thinking
Working Again
At least give those of us with root access the ability to have the old deprecated features...
Feature I would like to see to drag all widgets at the same time if they are snap together.
I hope the times will come soon when someone develops the same for resizing apps and overlaying them since my dictionary GoldenDict doesn't have a widget.
