VAG DPF for Android
Brilliant app, tells you a lot of information which is very useful in terms of how you should drive your car and what the state of your DPF is. Would be nice if the log could record the filter filling rate per minute as an extra column. Can the time column record date / time in HH:MM:SS and then a separate column for milliseconds? This would make it easier to create graphs with the data. Would it also be possible to configure time since last regen into days? For example if driving 60 minutes per day and the time since last regen is 1,200 minutes than this would be 20 days. I'm not sure if this is captured on the ECU however or if it is simply a duration regardless of date that the vehicle is driven. Thanks to the developer for putting up this app, it's perfect for many peoples needs!
Works with CFJA (2013 2.0 TDI). DPF has drove me nuts for years. Finally I can see loading + when its going to spring it on me next. Wish I could change the units to miles though instead of km.
Every VW diesel driver should get this app, it will tell you about what is happening to the DPF and allow you to prolong its life. The app shows you input and output gas temperatures and Soot Load, if you get the DPF light on the dash you can see if you are getting the DPF hot enough to regenerate, how the regeneration is progressing and adjust speed and revs to optimise regeneration speed. I use it with a cheap Bluetooth OBD adapter and it works fine on my Android 6 phone. You can check the comms with the free version but the full version is what you need to monitor the DPF properly.
it works with cusb engine (1.4tdi 3l 2015 model).very helpful tool a must for every vag TDI owner!!!
This is the best app on the market for DPF data. Everything is in one place and well thought out. Using it on my Seat Leon mk3 with a KW902 bluetooth adaptor from ebay.
Works great on Skoda Superb CFFB but still not working on VW Passat CBAB. Please provide support for CBAB.
Great app! Work perfectly on my Golf mk7 1.6 TDI 110cv!
Useful app. Developer is constantly updating the app and liaising with owners to discuss outputs. Much appreciated.
Great app. Works spot on with 1.6 tdi mk7 golf.
Works great and is ideal for checking state of DPF. I used it on a 2013 VW Golf 1598cc. I checked beforehand that the engine type was one of the compatible types listed. I already had an ODB reader a Konnwei ODB link KW902. I first used the free version of the APP to confirm it was compatible with the ODB reader and the car. With the free app it shows 3 values. With the paid version all details are shown. The APP is very useful. The only downside is it does not allow advanced DPF actions such as manual regeneration or reset, but this is probably not possible with this interface anyway. It did exactly what I needed which was to check the DPF is working correctly, and I can use it to test for early DPF problems which are not normally indicated to the driver until it is too late. You need to go in to settings and select you adapter type and make sure the engine is turned on.
Nice idea but it does not work with the CJAA engine, one of the few VW engines in the US with DPF emission system. I know Daaren is trying to resolve the issues and include the US engines so they can work withthe program. Great support from the creators of this program.

This app is brilliant for anyone wanting to know the state of their DPF and how it goes about its business. It educates you on the regeneration process and lets you see when a regeneration is taking place. You are then able to work out roughly how long you have until the next one. With it being google app phone based, and using a discreet OBD bluetooth connector, theres no wires, laptops, hassle. Just boot up a simple app on your phone and you have all the info you need right infront of you. At the moment I dont think there is anything at all as quick, convenient, and informative as this great little app. Great support too in the community forum.
