EveryBlock for Android
Continually get error messages and haven't been able to post from my phone once using the app. And my time line is full of crap like permits that were applied for in my area and hidden way at the bottom are posts my neighbors but 9 times out of 10 once I get there the stupid app shoots me all the way back to the top.
The app keeps reloading as I scroll and goes to where I just scrolled from. Fix the bugs because I know this is not the only complaint. UPDATE...still have not fixed app. Terrible I don't care how many people acquired building permits so when I scroll down, it shoots me back to the top with even more building permits that have been issued. Great concept, horrible execution. Get it together
App needs a lot of work to be user-friendly. One long page and no links to categories of news items. Page doesn't stay put but jumps as the looong page loads. Pretty unusable in its current state.
Worse app ever total garbage. Full of glitches. Poorly designed. It never gets fixed because I see the same complaints from months and years ago. Uninstalling now.
The person who moderates Chicago should be ashamed of themselves. They remove good people and keep Alderman John Arena's troll user names that cyber bully and sexually harass women. How much is the alderman paying you people for allowing him to abuse your members, remove us and our comments defending ourselves and each other?! The Chicago Moderator is a parasite.
Reloads the same few stories over and over. Stunning glitch that renders all my other complaints meaningless. Do not install.
Like the others, glitchy and buggy. Unusable.
Impossible! Constantly jumps back to top
Website is sort of okay but mobile app is unusable. No functions, just scroll to pick up new data and scroll back up to the top. Useless if you want to look up anything specific or follow something.
The timeline is all messed up on the app. It doesn't load fully and when I'm halfway scrolled through, it jumps back to the top. This happens over and over. Also, why are the business reviews showing first? I should have a way of customizing what I see. It's far easier to log in to the site via Chrome on mobile than to try and use this app.
The moderators remove everyone's comments at the end of the night. Don't bother with this site.
I login with my Facebook, but for some reason there's no option to do that on here.
App is just so-so. Also, there seem to be some bugs needed to be worked out still. I find trying to exit the app proves difficult. You end up in a code loop that will not let you out requiring a hard reset. I suggest sticking with the website. It is more functional and flexible.
I've been waiting for this app to come out for a while now, and I'm surprised by how much it's lacking. The login screen looks better than the actual app. There are no settings or a menu to navigate between different types of stories or different neighborhoods. Hit the back button and you're logged out. Uninstalling until a better version is released.
Completely unusable. Very buggy. The scrolling is impossible, constantly refreshing. Tap on any item and absolutely nothing happens. What is the point?
This app is horrible! It scrolls backwards and doesn't let you move forward. Every single time it immediately drops off and says "unfortunately Every block has stopped". Complete waste.
This app sucks. I liked it better reading it though my email.

The app looks OK, but isn't very functional. It's pretty much a stepped down version of the website. You can't really scroll through the different posts, because the index will refresh, and you'll be back at the top. I would give the app a second chance in the future, but for now, I'll stick to the website.
Downloaded the app and then deleted it within minutes. It kept looking like it was trying to load new stories but never did. It just kept going back to the top.
There is no way to navigate between sections. Worse: each time one reaches the "bottom" of the buffer, it refreshes content partially *within sections already read* and scrolls backwards. I continually ended up at the police reports, and then the events. I am uninstalling and will brave my browser.
I love this idea. The bugs sometimes were preventing me from posting an event
Frequent crashes. Constant battles with the app around scrolling.

I am glad there is an app for android but like the other reviewers here have stated the app lacks much usefulness. Unlike the website, the app does not have any kind of navigation. You simply have to scroll to go through any and all information relating to settings you have applied on the desktop version. You cannot sort or make any related searches. This creates a newsfeed of information you may not be interested in.
I'm thankful the app is finally available for Android but it's bugs keep it from being enjoyed or useful. Update please.
I like the website and the concept of being in touch and informed with neighbors and neighborhood activities. I the app needs a lot of work as far as the layout goes.
I used the iOS app ever since everyblock first started and enjoyed it just as much as the website. Now with the android app, why can't it run in a similar fashion? People below have said it...material jumps around when you reach the bottom. The iOS app, when it wants to work, is awesome and pretty close to the site, excluding the non-use of 311 reports, yelp reviews...
