Business Tasks for Android
Only free task list widget that comes with checkboxes that is fully customizable. BUT Make tasks sync with more third party apps like Trello (editor's choice) & Todoist. Or at least make it Google now compatible. As Google tasks is gonna be shelved soon. If Google now integration happens It will become the only platform where google now reminders and google tasks can be viewed on the same transparent widget.google now is the future guys.
Best part is that it integrates well with the Biz Calendar app. But the widgets are not so well done. Why not at least make the Biz Cal Agenda widget and the Biz Tasks widget look thematically the same? Currently they lack consistency between the two, and could be easily remedied with a minimal amount of effort: headers the same size, setting icons the same, etc.
All looks good. Love the layout... Looks very polished, just like the calendar app that I have used (Pro) and loved for several years. Only problem seems to be that if you set a recurring task on one device, it doesn't carry over to another one. Its a Google Task thing, but it could be a deal breaker for some.
This app would be perfect if the user could prioritize tasks manually - on the fly - with drag and drop. In my opinion, this is the only missing feature. I realize this feature was added to the task categories, but can it be added everywhere - or at least to the Today section? If there are a lot of things that need to be done in a single day while out on errands I need to be able to manually arrange the order so that nothing is missed.
I gave this PP 5 STARS because it is solid, and the feature set is rich. It works with GOOGLE TASKS and TOODLEDO ... the 2 programs that I needed it to work with. With GOOGLE TASKS you have a reliable BACKUP, with TOODLEDO you don't. I forgot to BACKUP TOODLEDO, which I had since 2008, then I purchased an APP called TODO TASK PRO. For the first time in years an APP deleted my TOODLEDO DATA. TODO TASK PRO is more powerful than I thought. After going to TOODLEDO and finding NOTHING I was able to use this APP to restore my toodledo content. I was impressed. 5 STARS impressed
As of April 2015 it synchronized to my Google tasks just fine. I like the subtasks features. The widget is good on my tablet. Haven't played with calendar sync yet (premium feature?) but syncing easily to the native calendar would give it 5 stars for me. I think the "best" task organizer is the one that works the way you think. This one is pretty close for me.
Business Calendars, Appgenix other Android software, is my go-to appointment application. It works wonderfully. Business Tasks was a natural add-in and enormously helpful. So its with no small amount of disappointment that I find that the tasks no longer sync with Google. This is a critical function of the application. Until Google synchronization is restored, best to avoid Business Tasks altogether.
Used it a couple of years ago. Was still rough around the edges then. Reinstalled after deciding to move away from G Tasks. And I like the improvements. Feels more robust, configurable & as a business calendar user, feels right at home. While the interface may not be as snazzy & cool as Any.DO's, it does synch well with Google tasks. Great job!
This program has indents, but you need to edit the task and add it - clue: its called sub-task and its located at the bottom of the edit page. I will say indenting tasks is not as easy as some other programs and this program could use some refinements. Giving five stars because it has the feature that others say it doesn't. Ver. 1.4.9

Pps I read other people have had sync issues, I did. But when I reinstalled my phone it gave me an opt in not seen previously for my different Gmail accounts. Bingo.
I'd like to see a pending and priority next to the checkbook where we can add A B C for priority and then an order to complete right next to the priority. So in essence it you be like A1, A2, B3 etc. I'd also like to see the tasks sort by that criteria per date. I'd like an option that if I do not complete a task(s) during any particular date they are automatically forwarded to the next date. I'd like an option where I can have all those tasks which were automatically forwarded be stripped of their priorities and order numeration and then gives me a quick select to re-prioritize my tasks. For instance, at the beginning of the day I am presented with a task and the buttons ABC, etc after it. I hit which ever button I feel that task should be ranked at for that day. The list changes to reflect the next un-prioritized task and I continue until all tasks are prioritized. Then the app gives me the option to order my tasks; all the A's first, then the B's, etc. this is because if a task isn't finished on any particular date the priority of said tasks can change in light of whats pending for the next day. App needs work but it is moving in the right direction.
It doesn't use the toodledo start date or star fields at all. Both of which are handy. What really kills this app is that if you edit the the list/category field of a task, it blows away the task and creates a new one. Then all said unsupported fields are created with blank information. Therefore you lose important data. Who knows what other task information you will lose when you edit a task with this app. Great app otherwise, I'd go back if above was changed.
One of the best apps for organizing your life. Key features are: - sync with Google tasks, - smart filters. The rest is also handy, nice looking and convenient. There are some minor bugs, but these are insignificant and I will report them along with some features request through email.
Needs some work that doesn't seem to get done, the app is barely advancing: Lists/contexts are too hard to switch, there is no start date. There are virtually no options (I would like to hide some fields - GTD doesn't need priorities, for example) and the app has too much white space.
Allow users to clear completed tasks but not delete them. Google tasks are cleared and archived. You only allow deletions which means they disappear completely. Please add a clear setting so that we can remove completed tasks from our field of view without losing them permanently. Thank you.
---- PROS ---- Easy to switch between accounts. Smart lists are a great feature to have. Pop-up reminders! ---- CONS ---- No option to view subtasks in main task list. Really needs backup to SD. If you uninstall the app you'll lose all smart lists, repeat tasks and settings. DOESN'T SYNC TOODLEDO REPEAT ---- Along with this and their calendar app, you have the best organization package. I've tried a dozen task apps and keep coming back to this one.
Sync issues keep occurring. I'm really waiting for version 1.5. to come out, so these issues can be resolved. Until that time this app is a good tool for local use on your phone, but that just isn't what most people are looking for - which is a real shame, seeing how their calendar client is the best in the store, and this add-on would keep it even further ahead of the competition.
Love Business Calendar ... eagerly awaited the Task add-on. Have tried to integrate with Google with little luck. Just recently added tasks (using the app) on one device and will not sync with other devices. There's no documentation on the website, so can't really troubleshoot.
It keeps crashing on my new Galaxy S6 and I can't get it to sync. I've tried a bunch of other task list apps and this one is the best by far, but now it's crashing everytime I use it. I already tried uninstalling and reinstalling, but since sync isn't working it was a pain to recreate all of my entries. If I have to uninstall it again, I'll have to use something else at least until the next update. :(
Cannot afford to miss tasks because of tech issues. Contacted company with no response and they've not acknowledged (accepted responsibility for) a problem. Because of a lack of company integrity, adios Business Calendar 2. Digical+ is serving me well at this point with no reliability issues.
The widget is very good. It looks as good as Business Calendar Pro, but syncs nothing on my tablet. Initially, it synced on my phone and to my computer, but it unfortunately stopped thereafter. Please fix this; I certainly need this app to function between devices.
This app is truly amazing in terms of customization. My only grief is that you can't see how many tasks are upcoming/due on the icon (like you can on Google tasks). 5 star app but have to rate it 4. Please add icon integration!
Uninstalling as it seems the dev has abandoned it. They've been 'working on version 1.5 with much improved sync' since Jan 2014. Real shame because there are some lovely features in the app and it has by far the best widget I've found, but it got to the point where I need sync more than those features...
I used to use the Calendar App that comes with the Note 3, I gave business calendar a try and loved it, so I bought the pro to be able to transfer my tasks, but apparently they don't sync? I don't know if that's not featured or not, but it definitely should be. I don't want to recreate all my tasks in this app.
Task management is decent. Tasks show on calendar if they have a due date, and they are mingled with calendar events if the tasks have a due time. Recurrence is highly configurable. Synchronization hardly works - lost my tasks when I signed the app off of my Google account with my Android 2.3 phone.
In a Single task. ....1-if we can add several time in a day for a particular reminder. Eg at 10am again 1pm again at 5pm etc, 2- To repeat particular days in a month eg. on 29th every month and same on 9th of every month. 3-Alarm after certain minutes for missed task. 4-Backup and restore
Hi, I am having a problem with the syncronisation of this app with an Exchange account. The active sync client picks up the task (I can see them on the stock Samsung S planner, but nor on Business tasks and neither on the business calender pro I purchased.. It is a fine application but without proper syncronisation it becomes useless.
I want to be able to fit on my home screen the 4x3 Business Calendar widget and a 4x1 Business Tasks widget; I can do this with Any.Do, but Business Tasks won't go any smaller than 2x2. Furthermore, the font size and style is harsher on the eye and there's no customization options. Finally, the task widget header is entirely to bulky for a task widget...it just doesn't look good or make sense compared to the Business Calendars widgets. Have to stick with Any.Do until this one gets cleaned up and polished.
Been using this for quite awhile with Business Calendar pro and realized today that tasks on my phone have not been syncing with Google Tasks ( I almost never use Google Tasks on the web & instead do everything through this app). I signed out of each of my accounts and then signed back in and found all the current tasks on the phone have been overwritten with Google tasks from 4-5 months ago after syncing. Also all recurrences and list colors in the app were changed as well. This is not good - I'd love an
I love this app's functionality and I use it daily for managing all my tasks. I would REALLY love if I could share my lists! Is this something slated for a near-future version? If not, would you consider adding it? Also, I would love to have a secondary sort option. It would be great if I could sort my tasks by date, then by priority. (If there already is one, then I haven't figured it out yet).
I like that you don't have to sync if you don't want to, or make an account. The interface is nice, but there are two areas this fails. You cannot mark the task as done by the lock screen. Also if you add a sub task, it doesn't get the due date of the parent, so if you do a sort, the sub tasks get lost
Got this due to their calendar program which is the best I've seen after looking at MANY different ones. This program is great on its own merits. Can prepopulate the due date to a chosen default # of days ahead, but doesn't intefere with setting date on new tasks. Really easy button to postpone a task due today by an adjustable default (1-3 days) later. Can have different task lists. Good control of how you sort & view your tasks, and can jump to different sort views. Works well w/ google tasks/cal.
It's ok but I can't get it to sync with none of my Google, Microsoft, or any other task apps. Having to constantly go back and forward to this app us a no-no for me when I'm in a meeting or on a conference call. I need to be able to get to what I need to get to without having to constantly search for this app and wait for it to open. Also, I can't email directly from this app either.

Since my Note 3 lollipop upgrade, Business Tasks continually crashes. It Still sync's, but crashes. Also crashes when creating a new task. Please fix this. None of the other Google task apps work as well for me
I love that I can conceptualize my daughter's tasks with my own. I would like access to attachments, too. It's a primary reason I use ToodleDo. No control over notifications with sync issues leaves this generally unfriendly.
As many reviewers commented, it would be a great app if the syncing would work properly. For me, it is touch and go. It stops syncing randobly, and then the only solution is to un-check syncing under General Settings, Accounts. In my correspondence from April 2014, tech support told me they are working on version 1.5, but 6 months from that, nothing happened. It seems to me that they just abandoned it.
Have liked in past but having some issues since last update. Always force closes when checking item. Have tried clear cache and reinstall.
1. Often doubles a task when configured to repeat. Possibly errors in syncing with Google. 2. I wish, in widget, the "today" tasks can be clearly identified at a quick glance. Such as an option to put a colored bar around each task dated today. If you have unfinished tasks from days ago, plus today's tasks, plus tomorrow's tasks, it's difficult to quickly find what is needed to be done today. Without erasing unfinished tasks of previous days. 3. Priority color/symbol for each task should be shown in widget

I played with it for a while and really like it. Sub tasks are awesome. Having trash with restoration is just genius. I'm a long time bcpro user don't care for bc2 at least not yet. Use manual sync until they fix it and you should be happy. Quick adds are simply super. Missing email capabilities to email single task or entire list.
