About Freeze Frame - Photo Grabber

Freeze Frame is a simple to use frame grabber that allows you to capture the best action shots from video to save or share via Facebook or Google+. Simply select a video, seek through to the chosen moment and click capture. Freeze Frame creates a frame bundle to your specifications. You can even capture every single frame.

There are several use cases where frame grabbing from video can be easier than taking a photo. Freeze Frame is great for capturing those opportune moments with kids or pets that are missed by camera shots. You could use video instead of relying on a camera timer.

This is the full version of Freeze Frame, it is identical to the Free version after upgrade by in app payment.

***** NOTES *****

The quality of the frame grabs are entirely determined by the resolution of the source video used.
We recommend using the highest quality video your device supports. Frames captured from video with fast moving background will also appear blurred due to the nature of
video capture itself. In both cases the app will never degrade quality further.

Please try the app and refund if you have problems. We have had reports of compatibility issues on some devices. If capturing does not work on your device or you encounter another issue please email support@appevolv.com with your device model an we will attempt to resolve the problem as soon as possible.

Notes: * The installed apk is around 19MB due to video library support. Please make sure you have sufficient storage space.

Keywords: video, video frame grabber, video to photo.

This product is no longer supported. It's had long standing serious bugs. Mine won't open. Have to use "open with" to work around it. Is a good product but the zero support and fixes make it a serious disappointment.

Not thrilled with app. Will look and hope for better option on Play Store

Blocky pixelated images, hopefully an update is coming. Or this should be free and beta. *Update* Support is very good and lightning fast, I just hope we get an update soon.

I don't use it much but when I do it does the job; )

I've owned this app since it was first released. I recently updated my OS to ICS 4.0.1, and ever since then, the app has not worked properly. Also, the developer apparently, for some unknown reason, killed off the original app, and started selling this version. He also removed the former feature where you could download from YouTube and capture frames from those videos. But in ICS, when I click Freeze, the app just goes black and freezes, pun intended. Used to be a great app, now it's not worth a dime.

Very difficult controls. I spent about five minutes to save one frame

It was difficult to tell whether the pay version had better controls than the free version. I did email the developer asking some specific questions, but they never replied. I paid for it anyway, probably shouldn't have. Using only a slider to find a specific frame is too coarse, difficult, and frustrating. They only offer frame advance once you've already captured a frame, then frame advance keeps capturing ad you advance. Not even sure why anyone would want that. The frame advance controls should be on the video screen, along with the slider, for the best control. The main screen also forces your phone into portrait mode, then it goes into landscape when you're on seek mode. So you're flipping your phone back and forth. Poor UI design. It also has no option to view files in folders with a .nomedia file (hidden folder). On the plus side, the captured images are excellent quality on my Galaxy S5. Just too bad about the lack of fine seek control. This just isn't that user-friendly. Needs work. And the developers need to answer their emails.

Since 2012, tried the rest... but this is still the BEST!

Could be a lot easier to use. Very complicated and doesn't have many options for editing also very slow

The touch is STILL off won't pause or play correct when you tap the screen. Was hoping for an eventual update. Still not working. S4

...that could be my phone being sluggish from depleted RAM, so I won't dock a star for it. Besides that, it seems to work fine. It does what it says, and from what I can tell with pretty good quality. I wasn't able to take any pictures for my son's first day of kindergarten, only a couple of video clips. Thanks to this app I was able to capture a few still shots from those videos. I will be keeping this for sure. Thanks!
