What are users saying about Contact Owner

Great option if person who found phone can call only owner's alternate (and emergency, of course) through owner's phone directly but the phone is locked still. Also, suggest adding medical alert-like info on text field after owner's contact info. Great idea! On Samsung Galaxy Note (app screen is not optimized for my 5.3"display yet)

by Z####:

Wow. Just doesn't work. First I'm running on an Samsung S3 and it keeps warning me about crashing on an HTC Android. Then it's contact selection simply doesn't work. It only shows about 20 contacts instead of all of them. And there appears to be no way to actually enable it to be used. Forget it. Removed moments after installing.

Z70%
by Z####:

I went to update my information and now it won't let me edit it or choose a contact. Broken despite numerous reinstalls.

Z70%
by Z####:

Works on Samsung Moment but in settings gets HTC droid warning alot. Wish there was option for just free text and no contact. uses same space as alarm

K70%
by K####:

I was worried that I would lose my phone and the lock screen would prevent people from notifying me. This app lets me display instructions on my lock screen that will allow people to contact my wife if they find my phone.

Z70%
by Z####:

5 stars until now! Eclair clock-screen uses the same text as the lock screen, and with my contact info it gets bad formatted and ugly :(

Z70%
by Z####:

Simple, yet well working piece of software. Hopefully helps my phone find its way back home should I ever lose it somewhere. Also handy for that ICE number!

C70%
by C####:

Seems to be working just fine on my dell streak 5. Getting to the settings is awkward though, have to get to them via the Market app .

Z70%
by Z####:

ive had no issues, it works. haven't tried to crash it.. (samsung bh2 android 1.6) only issue is, I doubt anyone in my hood would return a phone.

Z70%
by Z####:

When contacts is selected, it only comes up with the name jack. Now, the message saying contact jack is permanently stuck on my lock screen and I can't remove it, even if I uninstall the app.

R70%
by R####:

Looks awful on DInc's factory 'pattern' lock screen; buttons get lumped together. Does not show up at all with the PIN lock screen.

W70%
by W####:

Doesn't work at all on my Droid Bionic and is severely lacking in options anyway. I'd prefer a PIN lock and the option for the finder to use the device to call the numbers given.

Q70%
by Q####:

Works for others, hence their high ratings but it was unable to access contact information on mytouch 4g and was useless to me. Please make it work!

G70%

As the kind of person who "can't have nice things" because I constantly lose or break them... This app works and makes me happy.

O70%
by O####:

Can't remove data from screen, tried to manually remove, then wiped cache in settings, then uninstalled. Still can't clear screen. URL broken. Suck!

Z70%
by Z####:

Great idea but doesnt appear to work on epic 4g at least when pattern lock is on. I blame samsung for messing with the lock screen.

N70%
by N####:

It's a good idea, but it doesn't work for my phone. It scales the circles to unlock the phone very badly, so they overlap each other and it's hard to press them in the right combination. For a moment I thought I had locked myself out, but I managed to touch the right buttons. I tried to solve this by just displaying just the e-mail address, but the app can't do that. It always displays the name, too. But my e-mail address is basically my name, so I don't additional space wasted for my name.

Z70%
by Z####:

This works great with the pattern lock. Its ONE screen, no additional clicks required, though the pattern does get a bit smaller.

Z70%
by Z####:

Great, app does exactly what I needed it to do while staying simple & clean. Only problem is it kinda smooshes the pattern lock bubbles but the lock screen still works as normal.

T70%
by T####:

Worked PERFECTLY before Android OS upgrade to ICS....no more. All text is now unreadable on lock screen. Please fix!

J70%
by J####:

Worked the first time, but would not show up on the locked screen again. Useless

Z70%
by Z####:

The "you might be running HTC" warning is unnecessarily scary Can't you tell?! Other comments say works fine on Droid. Worth 5 stars if no warning.

N70%
by N####:

Apparently will crash certain phones, so uninstalled without ever opening. Kudos to dev for the warning and solution on website

K70%
by K####:

Exactly what i was looking for! 4 stars because it gets in the way of the alarm icon on the lock screen. I use it for ICE.

S70%
by S####:

This thing sucks. Just like all other comments, only shows random numbers. I would rather have the ability to just provide free form text.

S70%
by S####:

Good app to have, but i had to create a whole new contact for it since I'm using 2 diff contact's #s. Wish I could just enter free text.

Z70%
by Z####:

I use pattern-based unlocking and it resizes the pattern to be smaller. That's ok but when you unlock the full size flashes up before the screen vanishes. Using Cyanogenmod 7.

Z70%
by Z####:

Works fine on stock 2.20 nexus one. It pushes away the text that shows ther charging percentage. You could maybe implement a button instead?

A70%
by A####:

Looking for app like this for a while. It has enough options (can add text b4 or after contact info) to get the job done. Does make pattern unlock smaller but can write phone # in text before & only include name & pattern size is sufficient. Works perfectly on Samsung Droid Charge running 2.3. Great job!

Z70%
by Z####:

On incredible, does not display contact list, only numbers, perhaps its the internal contact id. If you guess right (impossible), the app works.

W70%
by W####:

Desire fail. Contacts listed by number instead of display name. Fix it and I'll give it another go.

Z70%
by Z####:

Waste of time. Can't pick contact, messes up lock screen. Desire.

W70%

Hector, stop stealing phones and erasing the settings. I put "reward if returned" plus my email, cuz of ppl like hector. i lost my phone and it worked

X70%

In the newer version of Android you can set this up in Security settings. This app only messes up my clock app and the clock on my weather widget.

Modified the start screen widget with out asking first. I tried uninstalling this but the changes remained. Reporting this as malicious.

Left my phone in a London black cab. Cabbie found it cleaning out his car a few hours later. Got the phone back to me 3 days later. Good app

HTC MyTouch 4G Slide doesn't allow contact selection. Wsh it worked because I used this on another phone and was great.

Z70%
by Z####:

Contact lookuo doesnt work on the mytouch. Need an overide or fix the problem. 3 stars for working on my g1.

Z70%
