My Pantry for Android
I tried out the free version first. It has all the features I need --search, expiration date tracking, location tracking, easy entry with bar code recognition, multiple pantry locations, categories, .... I had been using Out of Milk, but the inability to search for an item caused me to stop using that app. I decided to get organized again and found My Pantry.
Seems to do what I need it to do but I've just started using it. Crashes sometimes for no apparent reason but that's not affected me to much. Minor thing though: it's "expired" not "expared". There are a few more spelling errors but still a good app.
I used the trial and liked it, but after purchasing this version, I can't get it to work. It scans the barcodes just fine, but can't find anything no matter what search settings I use. Waste of money.
I thought this was going to do what I wanted, though it was a little cumbersome and installed in French when I started. I fixed the language problems in the settings and scanned a few items initially and thought it would do what I expected. The next day I tried to scan some additional items. The application crashed every time I scanned something. If this app were improved, I would definitely try it again since there was obvious forethought about desirable features.
This app is almost exactly what I've been looking for. It serves its purpose. I would have loved to be able to set the expiration alarm a few days in advance, but for the price and the syncing feature this app is definitely worth it. If you are a couponer like me and have a large stockpile, this is a MUST buy. I'm going to try the sister app...My Frig.
This is such a well thought out and fully optioned software that is perfect for food stock control. Thanks for a great app.
I purchased the full version to utilize the barcode scanner which after scanner over 50 common items including Campbells soups, cereals, baking mixes, canned vegetables and more came up with no item info. When using the scanner by its self it finds products with no problem!
Keep crashing on galaxy SIII I9300. Should put a search by expiry date too (BTW should correct field it says expary). And make a better export file we could use to keep a paper copy.
Every time I scan something it comes up blank. I don't have all day to type everything in individually.

As a suggestion it will be great to be able to synchronize 2 accounts so any modification of data and pictures will be updated simultaneously per account. An issue that I found was using the backup option. All my pictures does not backup so when I restore the file I either have no pictures or the default picture appears. Thanks a lot for this amazing app, but I really believed that these updates will make it much better and functuonatelly
