Northside High School

Northside High School, which opened its doors to students for the first time on August 19, 2002, is Columbus' newest high school. Northside is a comprehensive high school which offers a rigorous college preparatory program, including both honors and advanced placement courses, and state of the art technical and career programs. Students in college preparatory programs have numerous opportunities to expand their knowledge base with technology programs.

Northside High School's academy program, Engineering and Engineering Design, is linked to the national program, Project Lead the Way, and is an exciting addition to the courses offered in Muscogee County School District. Students enrolled in this special program have opportunities to specialize in Engineering or Engineering Design. They are required to participate in community service and have many opportunities to participate in competitions and extracurricular activities related to the engineering field.

At Northside, the emphasis is on giving students a quality education in a safe, supportive, technology-rich environment. Students learn goal-setting, time management, computer and study skills that will enable them to be more successful in their academic and elective courses.
