The idea for the NEGASH shoe and Clothing Company was created in 2007. The original idea behind the name of our company was to create shoes and clothing only fit for those of royalty or future royalty class (Kings, Queens, Princes and Princesses). Royalty not only being a physical term but a state of mind as to how one upholds their character and well being in society and the treatment of others, making you royalty of your own individual kingdom or palace.

The History of the word NEGASH originates In Ethiopian territory in Africa. It is the name of a Village in the Tigray Region. NEGASH is known as the earliest Muslim settlement in Africa. Ethiopian Muslims consider NEGASH the most important site of worship after Mecca. NEGASH has been a place of great historical and religious significance in a sense that it is a symbol of peaceful coexistence between Muslims and Christians. Besides being the name of a village, the name NEGASH also carries the meaning "he is bound to be king" or "he is next in line for the throne".
