About Music Theory Analysis

This app is the tool you need for completing a roman numeral analysis. Choose the key area you are in to see the scales, triads, and roman numerals for the major key and the parallel natural minor. You will also be given common chromatic harmonies for each key, including neapolitans, augmented sixths (It, Fr, Ger), and V7/V. Also included is a circle of fifths chart, chord functions, and church modes.

This app had a really bad review when I first saw it, but I decided that 99 cents was worth the risk. Turns out, the app has been a HUGE help. I'm taking a theory course this summer and I don't complete any assignments without this app. I was in the course for a couple weeks before getting this app and I struggled. I finish my work twice as fast now and I have recommended it to every student in the class. Once you figure out what key the music is in, choose that key from the main page and it sends you to a page that has everything you need to know to analyze in that key. 5 stars might be pushing it because the app is very simple (basically a database, one page for each key) and I think it needs internet/data in order to work. I've had a couple times where it loads slow and I need to refresh, but no issues otherwise. I only give it 5 because it's made such a difference for me and I hate when I see a good app with a bad review. 99 cents is cheap compared to paying to re-take a theory course, so I highly recommend it!

This "app" is just some scans from a theory book. It's got one page for each key, and lists all the chords diatonic to the major and parallel minor scales, plus some common non-diatonic chords like Aug. 6th chords and the neapolitan chord. When is someone going to make a real music theory app, something like the workbook for Kostka ave Payne's "Tonal Harmony"?

App loads but never launches. Sent the creator an email about the problem, but no answer.
