SwatchMatic for Android
---
Satisfy your inner designer.
People all around the world, including editors at Tested, c|net, and MakeUseOf, love SwatchMatic, and you will too. It's a free, fun, new way to capture, combine and share the colors you need for your website, startup logo, or kitchen makeover.
See a color you like, grab it. Whenever. Wherever.
Your Android's lens becomes a Terminator eye that can tell you the name of any color you point at.
Harmonize effortlessly.
In realtime, SwatchMatic shows you colors that nicely match the one you're sampling. There's no need to take a photo and wait for the result.
Find analogs, complements, or triads, even the dominant colors in the scene. Once you're happy with the combo, just touch to save it as a palette. Your swatch book is always with you.
Are you a tweaker? Tweak colors all you like. Right on your Android.
Easy sliders let you subtly edit the individual colors in the palette. You don't have to stick to the color "rules," but you can if you want to. You decide.
Dress robots in your colors and share them with the world.
Palettes shouldn't be the bland things you see in paint stores. They should be fun. They should feature robots. Share images of lovable robots wearing your colors, alongside all the values needed to recreate them anywhere.
Shoot colors straight into Photoshop and Illustrator (in the pro version).
SwatchMaticPRO let's you export your palettes as Adobe Swatch Exchange files direct to most Adobe applications. It takes just seconds get your colors into an Adobe swatch pane.
Robots are fun, swatch files too, but sometimes plain text will do.
Export out all your color names and values (in RGB, HSV, HEX, and even RAL Classic notation) as plain text for reuse anywhere — in other applications, at the paint store, the printing bureau, wherever.

Excellent for color scheme ideas
I really like this app! It produces palette directly througj the camera! Is it possible to use swatch numbers instead of fancy color names?? Maybe add an option to interchange those. Thanks!
Shadz many do everything SwatchMatic can do, but what's really at issue here is whether or not it has robots. I simply cannot abide a robot-free app,.,
thats really awesome and usefullllllll
দুর্দান্ত অ্যাপ।
Great app! I love it! And now it can even give the colours' French names! Il peut même fournir le nom français des couleurs ! Excellent !
It's a little bit too exact... That is if I point it at a solid colour it sees about 6, all different shades of said colour, all with different palettes. It's impossible to use properly and as such uninstalled
Great for the Android artist near you.
Installed not working.. again tried after unistall. Same.. why :-(
Wonderfully done.
Brilliant app. Thank you so much guys for making this application. This is really going to help me pick a color for my bathroom. Room for a few improvements but as it stands right now it's a very good application. Thank you for developing on android! Integrate a flash option and a pause function and improve the resolution of the viewfinder and I will gladly pay for this application! ! Kudos.
Very simple amazing app... quite useful when u need it
Gorgeous and seemingly accurate color schemes. Galaxy s5 camera/ color recognition is not good enough to make it useful, unfortunately. The option to adjust your sample would make this great.
Awesome App
The app makes out so easy to added colours and more importantly you have the RGB combos as cute robots. As a geek who loves colour, I thank you does this app.
As explained... So I found a glich with your cool app. I turn on the application flashlight and turned on your application to try and do it in the dark and it had to force close. :-(
Easy to use, loads of options, lite modes.. Everything one need for good fashion choices
Not bad
This is a great colour scanner app and the palettes it creates are brilliant! I love that you can choose between analogous, triad and complimentary palettes. The accuracy of the colours scanned are limited by the phone camera (custom white balance is still a much needed feature), but that is no fault of the app developer. The one main issue I have is with the "dominant colours in scene" palette, it seems buggy and often freezes the app. Some instruction on how to use this feature might help, do you have to press sample for each colour or just move the camera around? It seems to take an eternity to sample a palette in this mode and then it's not the colours I wanted. Otherwise and awesome app for sampling colours, getting rgb and hex codes and lovely palettes with fun names!
This is so easy to use to get great palettes, and I love the names and characters they give each one. Also so handy to have the RGB of each colour and the option to edit the colours! :)
Really interesting app for matching colours together. The app is simply to use, and looks great. Plus I really like the devs acknowledgements, nice to see so many great resources getting credit. Great work!
i really need to thank the developer for the wonderful work. easy to identify the color names in a real world.
It does what it's suppose to do. Only one bug ...not too terribly annoying.
Needs some stabilization as the color names change so frequently
It seems overly sensitive. The angle and light effect the colors. It doesn't stay on one color long enough to choose the color I like.
This app is a very handy and nice tool to pro designers have in hands during brainstorms, on client meetings, that coffee break's sudden visual inspiration, etc... just anytime! I really enjoy using it... and so my clients at Kurokawa! Haha
I wish there's a backup and restore option. So we can backup our palettes and then restore them later, if for example we need to uninstall the app and then install again.
It used to work marvelously. However recently it shows no text in the camera preview. I can only see the colour names after I save the colours and make a palette. Update: It works now and I can see live preview of colour names. Maybe it's because I rooted my phone. Changed from 4 stars to 5 :)
Can't believe my eyes that all colors are given name!
Don't like the way it works and it is limited to 10 only saves.
Great idea for an app, really well designed. The only drawback is that if your lighting is far from standard, the captured colour can look quite different. There is a White balance feature, but the given presets almost never get it right. A colour temperature bar would make this app PERFECT.
I really like this app! It produces palette directly througj the camera! Is it possible to use swatch numbers instead of fancy color names?? Maybe add an option to interchange those. Thanks!
Put this on my HTC One. The robot screen displays at one quarter of the size of my screen. There's no possible way to read the information on this screen. If this could be fixed, it would be a five star app.
I no longer have to wonder.
Very good at what it does, but the 6 color palette range is limited to colors sampled near the target pixel.
Very very handy indeed!
Looks nice
F*ing awesome
The best I've found!

Uninstalling.
