Quick Keyboard Switch for Android
On the Note keyboard the user can switch easily between stylus handwriting and Qwerty input. Using this app, I can quickly change between MyScript Stylus Beta & any other Qwerty app (system keyboard, SwiftKey, and Swype). (I went from Samsung Note to a different device because of the Note 7 fiasco.)
The reason I need this is because of the pushy, lame Samsung Keyboard taking over on its own. Google keyboard is my preferred favorite, this allows me to switch back in a snap.
Saves a lot of time if you switch keyboards like I do for various functions. There is a system notification for that but it only appears when you are in a text box. This app makes the option always available.
The widget works fine functionaly, but it can't be put into a folder and the icon is ugly. Please make the widget icon the same as the app icon at least. Editable icon would be even better.
It is an good app and does the expected job... Only thing I don't like is the 'Go Pro' prompt that keeps on coming when you start the app..
Going to settings to switch between touch & bluetooth keyboard is such a nuisance. This app works beautifully and makes the switch so much easier. Love it!
I can't have better than this. Excellent work. Thanks guys. Is there any way to turn on when use of keyword. The icon is always on the notification bar.
Finaly resolved My biggest headache on android devices. 5 stars !
You still have to open up a separate app to switch keyboards. Faster than going to settings but not that fast.
Get go-pro prompt forcing two actions at every switching. Hope someone make better app
While learning how to Note5 write, and filling the gap for apps not yet N5 aware -- this switcher and a script keyboard make my life wunderbar. Tap to get to type KB tap again to get to script KB.
Does an excellent job. However a small tweak would perfect it. Enable setting a custom list of usable keyboards (the current list doesn't enable getting the Samsung keyboard off the it) and add a "one click" optional feature that changes the keyboard to the next one just by tapping on the widget/notification center app bar. That would eliminate the need to open a new window and choose the next keyboard hence cutting down 2 steps off the process.
does have a few bugs. one setting I would like is a transparent notification icon
No one keyboard can accommodate my disability, so this app (and my three keyboard apps ) is essential.
I'm finding solution to use external keyboard AND can switch languages. It then requires another keyboard app that provide language-switch key setting but I still prefer default/built-in onscreen keyboard. This app is the right answer :) [Lenovo Yoga 10 HD+]
I wish there was a way to have an option in the notifications that says basically "don't show notification if keyboard x is choosen" and then user could select the keyboard. When I'm on my default.keyboard I don't like to change, but hen I switch I would love a quick way to get back
I have three keyboard installed ✔ (+ stock keyboard). One of course is default but occasionally I need to shift because of the others keyboard character (f.e. emoji
Nagging me to rate.... Stop that. Happy 5 don't nag anymore. MKAY?
Does what it says perfectly. Lots of KB s allow a long press on Spacebar to switch- But NOT Samsung. This app allows me a better alternative. Perhaps intergrating Some sort of floating icon over / near / any open KB ? Thanks.
Great when used with glove box. Just wish the pop up box would disappear automatically after I've switched.
simple but very helpful tool. the stock android way of keyboard switch is just stupid.
And you get 1 stars... It looks good but I haven't had a chance to use it very long.
I love my Note 5 but could not switch keyboards easy like I can my Note 10.1 tablet. This app completely solved my problem. No buggy Issues I have found either. Thank You!
This appears to be the best keyboard-switching tool I've found. Would be nice if I could customize the widget appearance and allow it to work like an actual toggle switch. (ie. click once and it just jumps to the next keyboard. Then you get a little banner that says "Swiftkey active" etc.)
Works brilliantly; unfortunately Samsung keyboard is Swype-impaired, and Swype is short on emoji. This is the best solution without being resource intensive. I'd love a one-touch widget to quickly toggle between multiple keyboards, but perhaps one day that'll come. Great App!
Very convenient and easy to handle app. Super easy and requires no great skill.
It was extremely inconvenient to chat in different languages as the Google keyboard doesn't support certain ones So I would constantly be switching from Russian to the Japanese input to Chinese, and it was terrible. Thank you devs for this glorious app
Really excellent app, makes life a lot easier, got so fed up going into the settings to switch keyboards, this has really solved a problem for me, well done.
I wanted this so I could turn off my preferred keyboard to conserve battery because it had a slight drain. Strangely, this smaller app has a bigger drain. Uninstalled for now. It did function very well, just the drain was unacceptable.
This is a really nifty app, I very much like it. Android smileys suck. My Samsung keyboard has a bunch of neat smileys and emoticons but the keyboard sucks. So, nice swyping on the Swype keyboard and nifty emoticons in the Samsung keyboard - I have it all, just pull down from the notification bar and the little switch menu pops up. Very easy to use. Good Job! All this on my Galaxy S4.
I have a QWERTY keyboard attached to my tablet, but it doesn't do all the characters. This wee app enables me to switch between the on-screen keyboard and the physical one, quickly and easily, without losing track of what I'm typing. It doesn't need whistles and bells; it's incredibly useful in its own right.
Helped me get out of swype very easy cuz I couldn't even use my settings to change the default but I also have a keyboard cover on my s6 edge plus
Does the job well on my Galaxy Tab S! However, could the developers pliz make the widget look nicer! It's too tiny.
Exactly what I needed to simplify keyboard changing. Perfect for gamepads that Use keyboards to interface! Great solution!
I use a keyboard that I love but it lacks Emoji. With Quick Keyboard Switch I can smoothly switch between the two keyboards. Perfect. Thank you.
Can you make it so that you can switch from notifications bar? That would help me. Thanks.
I don't use it anymore since I can just use Tasker to do it, but for anyone who doesn't want to set it up with Tasker, it does the job perfectly.
Great for switching keyboards fast. Useful for me as I need a German and English input device and I like different keyboards for different reasons.
If the widget icon looked more like the app icon, this would be 5 stars. The widget icon is an ugly blue Q.

Needed to switch keyboards as there's no way of telling SwiftKey not to offer predictions on a particular app. Often that's a security risk. App would be perfect if the image changed depending on which keyboard was selected - e.g. Q1, Q2, Q3
