There are two different driving modes that you can try in the free version. Simulate the engine sound with the manual or automatic drive modes.
In the paid app you now have the exciting OBD-II mode where the sound follows the engine speed in the car you are driving. You can also simulate the engine sound with the manual, automatic, paddle or tilt modes.
The OBD-II app experience is as fun and exciting as driving a car with a real SoundRacer product but there are a couple of differences:
One feature in the app is that you can change the ratio between the engine rpm and the sound rpm. If, for example, you are driving a low rpm diesel it can be set so that engine sound goes on 6000 rpm when the car engine is doing 2500 rpm.
The sound and rpm following in the app is depending on the OBD-II adapter and phone performance and may be different than in the SoundRacer FM transmitter.
The experience of the free app is naturally not as fun and exciting as driving a real car with a real SoundRacer product or the OBD-II mode but you will get a hint of it.
HOW TO USE:
MENU BUTTON
When you touch the Menu button on the screen or press the Menu button on the phone, the Menu will show up at the bottom of the screen. You can then select Information, Links, Settings or Share. Return from these functions to the app, by pressing the Back button of the phone.
SHARE BUTTON
Send link to the app to your friends.
ENGINE SCREEN
The Engine screen is the starting screen. Here you may select your favorite engine with the tabs along the upper rim of the screen.
DRIVE SCREEN
The next step is to drive. Touch the Select Drive Mode button and navigate to the Driving screen. There you can select the driving mode of choice, with the tabs along the upper rim of the screen.
DRIVE
Start driving by touching the Start/Stop button and hear the starter and the engine start up. Then you can accelerate with a touch control of choice, depending on the selected driving mode.
STOP ENGINE
By touching the Start/Stop button again you turn off the engine sound.
CHANGE ENGINE
If you touch the Select Engine button, you will navigate back to the Engine screen, and there you may select another engine sound.
SOUND QUALITY
The volume of the engine sound is changed with the volume buttons of the phone. The sounds in the app are the same as in the SoundRacer products, genuine recordings from famous sports cars. Naturally, the great sound experience when driving a real car with a SoundRacer product can never be achieved with an app.
To make the SoundRacer app sound at its best, use earphones or connect the phone to speakers.
WELCOME SCREEN
The Welcome screen that is displayed when you start the SoundRacer app can be hidden. In Menu it is possible to uncheck it under Settings.

I find no probs like the liars say. This app is actually perfect in my opinion. The Mustang sounds just like a 5.0 V8 Ford pickup truck. The Mustang beats all of the other cars and the F150 beats all the other trucks. GO FORD!!!!!

Paid version won't connect to my obd Bluetooth device. All the other apps like this connect fine. Sort it out and take my money! PS get better sounds, this is really synthetic

You have to stop using Bluetooth wireless interface,update your app and allow android device default systems to detect engine sounds instead of OBD and then with wireless audio receiver or AUX cable option will be perfect no hassle to buy receivers and OBD stuff just a simple car stereo and AUX cable with Android device.I love this app and i want this app to run with very precise requirements like an android app and just a simple AUX cable.Is that possible?

It serms every engine has a max of 6700-ish RPM... On an LFA?? On a Gallardo? Good attempt but needs a LOT of perfecting. Also shifting soubd is really bad. Reminds me of early '90s video games.

On the manual, automatic, paddle, and tilt modes, it would be best to increase the rpm on 1st gear around 9000 rpm instead of 6000 rpm and then shift, primarily on the Lexus LFA. It simulates a racing video game engine sound. Maximize gear ratios in next update please!

The free app needs the ability to confirm the ODB reader functionality. Lock the tones available over odb during that trial. I love the idea, but finding out if it will work only after purchasing is a deal breaker.
