শিশুর ইসলামি নাম নির্বাচন

শিশুর জন্মের পর তার জন্য একটি সুন্দর ইসলামী নাম রাখা প্রত্যেক মুসলিম পিতা-মাতার কর্তব্য। মুসলিম বিশ্বের অন্যান্য অঞ্চলের মুসলমানদের ন্যায় বাংলাদেশের মুসলমানদের মাঝেও ইসলামী সংস্কৃতি ও মুসলিম ঐতিহ্যের সাথে মিল রেখে শিশুর নাম নির্বাচন করার আগ্রহ দেখা যায়। এজন্য তাঁরা নবজাতকের নাম নির্বাচনে পরিচিত আলেম-ওলামাদের শরণাপন্ন হন। তবে সত্যি কথা বলতে কী এ বিষয়ে আমাদের পড়াশুনা অতি অপ্রতুল। তাই ইসলামী নাম রাখার আগ্রহ থাকার পরও অজ্ঞতাবশত আমরা এমনসব নাম নির্বাচন করে ফেলি যেগুলো আদৌ ইসলামী নামের আওতাভুক্ত নয়। শব্দটি আরবী অথবা কুরআনের শব্দ হলেই নামটি ইসলামী হবে তাতো নয়। কুরআনে তো পৃথিবীর নিকৃষ্টতম কাফেরদের নাম উল্লেখ আছে। ইবলিস, ফেরাউন, হামান, কারুন, আবু লাহাব ইত্যাদি নাম তো কুরআনে উল্লেখ আছে; তাই বলে কী এসব নামে নাম রাখা সমীচীন হবে!? তাই এ বিষয়ে সঠিক নীতিমালা আমাদের জানা প্রয়োজন।
সহীহ মুসলিমে বর্ণিত হয়েছে-
“আল্লাহর কাছে সবচেয়ে প্রিয় নাম হচ্ছে- আব্দুল্লাহ (আল্লাহর বান্দা) ও আব্দুর রহমান (রহমানের বান্দা)।”
এ নামদ্বয় আল্লাহর প্রিয় হওয়ার কারণ হল- এ নামদ্বয়ে আল্লাহর উপাসনার স্বীকৃতি রয়েছে। তাছাড়া আল্লাহর সবচেয়ে সুন্দর দুটি নাম এ নামদ্বয়ের সাথে সমন্ধিত আছে। একই কারণে আল্লাহর অন্যান্য নামের সাথে আরবী ‘আব্দ’ (বান্দা) শব্দটিকে সমন্ধিত করে নাম রাখাও উত্তম। After the birth of her baby's name for a beautiful Islamic duty of every Muslim parents. Sahih Muslim, has been described
"The most beloved names to Allah are Abdullah (ie slave of Allah) and Abdul Rahman (Rahman slaves)."
