About SAS
School for Advanced Studies (SAS), Miami's 'Nationally Recognized Collegiate High School,' is a full time dual-enrollment high school and a combined effort of Miami-Dade County Public Schools (MDCPS) and Miami-Dade College (MDC). Students attending SAS complete their last two years of high school while attending MDC. The opportunity for acceleration and enrichment attracts motivated and academically talented students. SAS takes pride in its family-like environment, small school setting, and focus on a quality education. School for Advanced Studies provides a uniquely supportive transition between secondary and post-secondary education. The school, fully accredited by AdvanceEd, is located on four campuses of MDC; Homestead, Kendall, North, and Wolfson. Mission The School for Advanced Studies enables highly motivated students to achieve their academic and personal potential through an accelerated, full-time high school dual-enrollment program in a college setting. In the process, students develop high levels of self-esteem, mutual respect, and appreciation for cultural diversity while demonstrating responsibility and independence as self-directed life-long scholars.
