Old St. Mary's Catholic Church

On December 4, 1963, during the Second Vatican Council, His Holiness Pope Paul VI solemnly promulgated "Inter Mirifica - Decree on the Media of Social Communication." In this document the Council Fathers make known that "...the Church welcomes and promotes with special interest ... new avenues of communicating ... [that] can of their very nature, reach and influence, not only individuals, but the very masses and the whole of human society."

The creation and publication of this Mobile App for Old St. Mary's is a parish-wide response to Inter Mirifica where the Church teaches "All the children of the Church should join, without delay and with the greatest effort in a common work to make effective use of the media of social communication in various apostolic endeavors ..."

This new Mobile App for Detroit's third oldest Catholic parish provides information, useful tools and resources to parishioners and visitors and gives the pastor and staff a powerful new way to communicate with members of the parish and the community at large.
