Montreal Carifiesta

Carifiesta is immensely colorful parade that will take over the streets of the Montreal downtown area. Over 100,000 people are expected to attend this annual carnival which gathers people of all origins in the expression of the joy and light heartedness associated to the Caribbean people. For hours, the participants and spectators will vibrate and dance to the rhythm of the Latin West-Indian and afro-caribbean music. The parade will include floats decorated with the colors of the countries being represented, as well as traditional dances, exotic and picturesque costumes worn by the Carifiesta masqueraders.
