AJ's Bar

AJ's has been doing business in Round Lake Park and operated by the same family since 1951. Originally called the "Beach Inn" in the 1930's & 40's it became "Genes Beach Inn" in 1951. Operating next to one of the BEST fishing lakes in Lake County we hosted all the local sportsman along with all the local politicians and residents. If you needed to get a word out this was the place.

As time rolled on the bar became home for many of the greatest pool players in the world. Jan Baczek 2nd generation was known as one of the best. He once played Minnesota Fats in a friendly match up and beat him so badly three games in a row that "Fats" threw his stick on the floor and stormed out of the match.

AJ's is the only bar in the area that offers full sized outdoor shuffleboard in the Summer months with leagues to accommodate many skill levels. Also offered are Pool Leagues, Dart Leagues, Baggo Leagues and just plain home town fun.

Coming in 2015 we are re-opening our kitchen and promise to offer some of the finest bar food you are going to get at any time including late night.
