Inventory Droid

Shoulda trusted prior reviews... Instead, I'm out money (app) and lotsa time, energy and effort. Ugh! This app shows lots of promise but by not fixing the very obvious problems, they deserve no more chances. Custom fields are great, unless you want to export them (which they won't). Pictures are great, unless you want to export them (they won't). Very limited on what fields will actually export to spreadsheet, thereby defeating its primary function. Random crashes just add to the frustration. If given a 3-day trial, no way (!) would I have purchased this potentially great, but currently, VERY crippled app. Very disappointed.

I compared this to Out Of Milk and their built in scanner (Out Of Milk) is a 1000 times better and search results are way faster than this junk.

The barcode scanner locks the phone up and sometimes I have to power cycle the phone to get the problem to clear. Also, when the barcode scanner does work... if I'm scanning a scannable item other than the serial number, it always puts it in the serial number slot anyway. I have to the barcode scanner app and then back to Inventory Droid and paste it in where I need it.

needed some work, i submitted bugs and requests , desktop app never got properly polished... still no good viable solution out there... so with 2 years now of no updates, Rest in Peace

At first i thought i finally found an app that does what i want. However after putting all of my collection in i found that the export function doesnt export all the fields, adding a photo is a pain which also doesn't export. Wasted tons of time and now i have to find a new app to do it all over again!!

what a pos, buggy does not work as the pdf says it should. once figured out how to trick it into exporting the csv it did not carry over the barcode numbers or data. Bad, Buggy don't waist your money. Also sent an email to support they never replied.

Works great for inventory of supplies and tools in my shop, house, and garage. Can't wait to see what features and improvements are coming up

I like it! It is perfect as far as i am concerned, price and all. The bar code scanner quit working.

Buggy app, fields already entered get deleted when scanning a barcode. Sharing/exporting is buggy. I do not recommend this app.

Crashes constantly at random times, losing data. Worked great back in the 2.3 days.

Very frustrating. The scanner takes forever, and I wind up entering in the info manually anyway.

Not really a good solution in any feature. Better Android solutions are available.

Good features but poorly implemented. Slow, over complicated, not intuitive. Lot of unnecessary key entries. We found a Mk I eyeball a spreadsheet MUCH quicker....

I realize I am jumping the gun here since I only just downloaded all 3 programs from this developer but I am already HIGHLY impressed. He seems to have GREAT customer srvc follow-up and the fact he had a BIG users manual for the Inv Droid program is something you almost NEVER find from market programs. You usually download and then are on your own. I have a feeling I WILL NOT be sorry I got this stuff.

Very simple yet detailed app. It could benefit from a "sort by" option, and even a "minimum inventory alert". But overall its the best app I have tried yet.

It's a good app, for what it's worth, but importing CSV files requires too much outside editing, there's no ability to list your items across more than one category, and it really isn't as useful if you only want to keep track of and easily scan say, your personal library. List Master Pro is much better for importing CSV, and is cheaper. Droid X.

Disapointed in the desktop part though. The sync works very poorly. App is good if used only on phone.

Scanning items works great. I gave it the 2 stars for that. The interface is not good. You can only filter your list of items by category. You cannot filter by location. All the items are listed in a center justified list - not sure why anyone would choose that - with only the name appearing. The mention of the desktop app is misleading, since transferring data from your phone to the desktop app is not decently implemented yet. Develop this out and for $5, I would consider it worth at least 4 stars.

This is the BEST inventory app available - look no further! Unlike all the other comparable apps I have tried, this one is sophisticated in functionality, but simple to use. 5 star rating for the developer's support alone - quick to provide assistance and even incorporated a new feature in the app upon request.

Brilliant App and Dev very responsive!!!

I run a small business and was looking for an easy mobile method of keeping track of what I sold. I didn't want the expense of commercial barcodes, so I went down the QR code route. This threw up a few problems as there wasn't much help online to do this. I emailed Eli, the developer of Inventory Droid when I got stuck with the app and he was extremely helpful. He gave great advice, was friendly and prompt with his responses. I will be recommending this system to as many people as possible. TOP APP!

Multiple reasons

Guys I love and live by this app but when I changed to the Samsung 5 I can't seem to get it to work. I reinstalled but I still don't have a menu. Please let me know if it's a bug you is it something I'm doing?

I use it to keep track of the CDs/DVDs/BDs/books that I've bought. More than once I've purchased something only to find that I already have a copy. The custom fields allow you to enter additional data (such as who may be borrowing it). The UTC-Amazon query usually returns what I've got and includes the picture, description, and several other bits of information.

This app could be very useful for anyone that may need a lot of information, for to pass on to insurance companies, if a claim was too be needed. I am very happy but will you please add tablet technology support.

I own and operate an appliance service business and have used the paid version of this application for approximately 2 or more years. It is organized nicely, customizable, and easy to add or edit entries. Had some difficulty backing and restoration when I changed phones but the developer is aware and has informed me of a solution.

tried exporting from my device to a CVS....its a dummy button. Nothing happens. Even bought the full version - every link I try for help is "UNAVAILABLE"

photo resolutions can select at image size . GOOD apps.

Really helps me sort my inventory nicely. But I really wish I could choose that the scanner search only search my inventory, not amazon, google or anything else. And only with 1-3 search words rather than exactly all info. I would like to make QR codes for my items in my inventory that I can quickly scan to get it up in my inventory to instantly view info about the item.

Liking this app so far, but would recommend adding import photo option.

Not very user friendly , US date format only, extra fields are possible, one extra field is ok ish but no point in more unless you don't care about the order of the extra fields. the end result is not very nice to look at , presntation is rubbish. I will not continue to use this app.
