Conquering Jeju Jjolbeungapmajang-gil Course
The village of Gasiri, located on the middle mountainous area, was where the war horses that were given as offerings to the Court during the Joseon Dynasty were raised. Between the 13 oreums are large ranch regions, and this is where the Gapmajang-gil was created, full of the lives and history of the horse shepherds. The area is divided into the 20km-long Gapmajang-gil and the 10km-long Jjolbeungapmajang-gil; Jjolbeun is the Jeju dialect for “short”.
