All English Idioms & Phrases

It taught me of how I communicate with my friends. And not only that, it made it easy to understand people when ever they use idioms. In addition to that, i can simply understand when reading books especially plays where idioms are usually used..... My thank to the team..

Yes this app is the final destination for the one's seeking to improve their English vocabulary... But i might add that the app needs work to be done as users have to face a lot of hassle and tassle to find the appropriate idioms. So the improvement will be appreciated. But still i firmly believe that this app is one of the best offline apps to acquire knowledge.

That's the exact app that I was looking for. If you get confused with phrasal verb like me then you should definitely have this app. Also It has some good and interesting idioms that one can learn to be unique.

'Favorite English Idioms' leads to a blank page. The spelling of dictionary has an 's'- distionarys. That's wrong. The sixth question in the quiz is repeated. The options given are irrelevant.

Too many ads every second. This app induces fear of ads popping up in your face everytime you try to use it. You can never use it, you can only try to use it because using it is futile. Plus everytime you try and look for the detailed meaning of any idiom, it will take you back right at the start. Eg: you scrolled down looking for 7599th idiom in sequnce, click on it to see its details, then click the back button to look for the 7600th idiom. Alas you will again have to scroll down right from the beginning!!

Didn't work. No search results just points to ads in browser. Skilled enough to build an app but no intention of providing the service it describes. Waste of time

It's amazingly useful! I really loved it! But I only gave it 4 stars because there is no pronunciation and listening. Oh! I wish you will make it available in the next update. ❤

instead of putting idoms and phrases under heads. it would be better if you can create a list of idoms and phrases in alphabetical order. how a begginer would know which "head" to select an idol idom.?

Found an app first time with such meticulously explained idioms..with various categories and examples to further help understanding the idiom. Wonderful jOb done. Im giving 5star ! Just one suggestion: Include searching an idiom with a Key Word !

It's should be updated coz when I search for particular idioms it response it is not available...more idioms should be added to it and other one pop-up ad should be in less or totally removed in order to make it reliable and comfortable for users.

Nice! but when you go under a particular idiom to see its example usage and then back, it starts off with the very first and you have to go to again to read the next idiom- "this frustrates"!. "I will give it five stars if you fix this"

This app is just amazing. This app added all the things that are needed to be fluent. Just being good with tenses doesn't make someone a fluent speaker. This app is all you need after basics to be fluent. I just downloaded this app for Idioms and what I got is a good whole package.. Just love it..

If we press back button after opening a certain IDIOM it is showing the top most IDIOM in the IDIOM list.,so we have to again scroll down and search for the previous IDIOM..FIX IT ASAP

I think that it is a great app. I have just started using it with my eight year old son and it is difficult to stop. how i wish I had it all these years.

A much needed app for a language hungry person. But some work needed to make this app better. Please change the color of correct answers in quiz. Make it blue or some dark color rather than green

Usually I don't post review, but this App made me post one. I recommend everyone who keen to improve his English should have this. This is really a best App I've ever seen in this category. Good job developers.

Search function either does not work at all, or fails to say when a phrase was not found. Very frustrating. & numerous ad pop-ups were bothersome; every menu option shows another ad - even when i opted to "rate this app". Finally, defs were too vague to help someone grasp important implications of an idiom. For instance, "Going back to the salt mines" does not mean merely to go back to work. Mining in the salt flats of the Caribbean during in 17th+ C was tortuous, awful work for slaves + prisoners

I found this app helpful but it can be made more useful by doing following . 1. Arranging idioms by alphabets. 2. Providing some mechanism to remember such as resuming app from the idiom where it was left. 3. As others have suggested, you need to start from that point when user comes back from detail of an idiom. (this is very important)

Loved it..idioms and phrases all in one. Great for enhancing one's vocabulary and playing with the words. I liked the quiz part the most. Whatever i learn i make sure to test my knowledge plus learn from errors✌

After you click into an entry, you don't go back to where you were but instead all the way to the beginning of the list. Frustrating to use. Real shame because the content is excellent.

Having said that, if in a hurry to make fast buck you will loose to be reputed app as those annoying advertisements keep on coming whenever they like, it may turn up bad penny. Apart from this, app works like charm and helps to attain the knowledge it functions.

This app is not only a wealth of information but it's an app that one would use more often than one thinks. With that said the ads are awful. I would have gladly paid for a premium no - ad version. Uninstalling

Great app! Large database! However, the adverts are quite disturbing, due primarily to their pushing nature. Except that it's just what you need. I strongly recommend downloading.

This aap will give you intermediate to advance level learning not like other apps with basic stuff. Very descriptive and well categorised. I am very happy with app and would highly recommend this app.

This app is awesome! This is only my suggestion.. You don't need to show the meaning first.. Just show the word or phrase and when we click it , it will show more detail or meaning since it makes me easier to browse the entry

Its really a beneficial stuff for those guys who just dnt want to talk english but want to play wid english languagr.. Diffrent diffrent phrases nd idoms nd diffrent words

App is excellent only one thing is lacking that we cannot mark favourite proverb to quickly find them again. Otherwise it is really very excellent app

I'm using this app for ielts preparation and I must admit it's a great app. But the ads are kind of annoying. So I'll give it a 4/5!

Quizzes should be zombie mode and better. So far, best app for idioms, phrasal verbs, proverbs and expressions. Gamification would be a differential. Correct the bug which makes start the list again when you see the exemplo.

This app is worth more than 5 star. Those that work on it really deserve enormous and special complements. I never expected to have one like this. Please download because it is very helpful. Thanks to all who put time and effort into making this app a success.

Loved it!! The best part is that all the proverbs are given in an orientation similar to that of a dictionary(alphabetical). And the tests are like the icing on the cake. I wish the app also had an option of marking the favourites. But overall this is an app for all those who are looking for a true educational of english!!!!!
