Antony Port invests in financially solid European companies trading at a substantial discount to their intrinsic value.

The Portfolio manager believes that markets regularly fail in recognizing and correctly evaluating investment opportunities at the specific company level. In addition, markets can be seized by short-term sentiment, often leading to episodes of exaggerated perception of certain factor risks and hence mis-pricing at the company level. For the fund manager to exploit these anomalies a rigorous fundamental research process is applied to identify companies that offer the best available combination of earnings, fundamentals (primary focus) and price (discount to intrinsic
value).

My investment philosophy is based on the conviction that long-term, stable and sustainable earnings growth drives long-term investment returns and risk-adjusted out performance. By identifying sensibly priced high quality companies that can grow earnings faster than the market on a sustainable basis, we believe we will be able to achieve superior returns through the effect of compounded earnings and stock price returns. Also central to our philosophy is the belief that compounding wealth requires preserving capital in down markets and that high quality
franchises can provide downside protection.
