This company had our money for an app that didn't work for a year and finally put out an update. I'd already replaced it with Pocket Casts which always works great. This one however would not retain settings crashed often and was Beta at best. Many of us payed to be beta testers. Great concept, poor execution. I haven't tried the updated version, but history proved that any fixes are slow coming. Don't give these guys your money.

tl;dr: Avoid. Purchased this app looking for a replacement for Listen, which, though terrible itself, syncs with Google Reader. On the pro side this is one of the only apps I've found so far that syncs with Reader in a sane way. Everything else is the con. This app crashes, constantly. Dock my tablet? Crash. Plug tablet in to power? Crash. Even rotating the screen causes the app to crash. The app is incredibly counter-intuitive; or perhaps just so buggy that it seems like it is. I still haven't figured out how to get it to download a podcast ahead of time. You might think it would be the download option in the context menu for the podcast. You would be wrong. At best, this seems to serve to prevent the automated download task -- which seems to run at random -- from ever picking it up. I've attempted to change from several of the default settings several times. My settings never seem to stick. Perhaps this is because the app has never shutdown cleanly, as it always manages to crash not long after I start using it. I don't really know. Or care. I'd go on, but I appear to be at the length limit for the review. Long story short, don't make my mistake: Avoid this app.

Pros:I was looking for a podcast playing application that would sync to my RSS reader (Google Reader) and keep track of my progress so I can play across devices (work laptop, cell phone, home computer, and tablet) Overall this applicaiton accomplished these things, and I would reccomend it for those features. Cons: The interface is VERY basic. Kind of nice but because of the lack of explanation and the highly context sensitive settings button, it can be difficult to change the settings you want to change. Crashes all the time. Screen rotations are a guaranteed crash, and somtimes just plugging it in crashes it. Can be a hassle to get the podcast playing if say you swap from wi-fi to mobile data mid fetching, and prefer not to download the episodes. Downloading seems glitchy at best, and moved my podcasts out of unplayed and into a special label, which I did not like.. Overall it accomplishes what I wanted, even if not so simply. Features I'd like to see are fixing all the crashes, easier interface, fix the downloading, and a way to point to an RSS source that isnt' google reader, since it will be defunct soon.

Purchased for Nexus 7 and Galaxy Nexus CDMA. Installed and immediately showed issues displaying authentication failures trying to log into G Reader with Google Apps and standard account. Does setup folders and tags on reader like it should but then does nothing from there. Content only works streaming when it feels like it, refuses to download audio or video on any feed. App becomes non responsive, doesn't update RSS feeds and just doesn't work on Jelly Bean or ICS. Gave support 24hrs, no response.

Too basic, cannot go past first screen on phone

The app has a nice ui and is one of the few that actually syncs with Google. Unfortunately, it frequently hangs. Does not support some important Android features like the share menu.

Good idea, poor execution

I love the idea of syncing everywhere but the execution here is not the best. It also needs variable playback support via presto or similar.

Developer getting better with updates. Actually usable now.

I have been using this app for a long time, the recent version is very stable for me now. It is by far the best podcast player, with the cleanest easiest to use interface, and true 2 way google reader sync! Subscribe to a podcast on your computer in google reader and it shows up on your phone. I have one folder in google reader with all my podcasts so I just have PLL sync with that folder. Yes, it is missing a few features that would be nice, but just email the developers, the support is awesome!

This is nice, since it uses your google account, if you listen to a podcast on your android phone, it shows as played on your iPad, or if you use google listen, it'll mark it played and appear as played in this app on all your devices. Still needs a bit more features, but the stability keeps getting better and better. Would be nice if it had a preference to auto delete listened items after X days, currently you have to manually remove the local files.

It looks exactly like what I was looking for. Integration and two-ways syncing with Google Reader feeds. Gets my 2$ and 3 * just for putting it out there. I haven't managed to try it yet, but I'll update this review as soon as I get my dirty paws on it...

I really wanted this to be a solution to podcast syncing. Press pause on android and play on the web. That's exactly what this app is about. Unfortunately, there are just too many technical issues. Downloads fail and retry all the time, play stops for no reason usually 20-25min into a podcast (really plays havoc with runs), and random "unable to complete the operation" messages that sometimes loses sync position or marks your podcast as played. I hope they fix these things, but now it's unusable.
