Location App to SpotterNetwork

I've been using this for well over a year now. No issues at all. Works smoothly & issues little resources. Easy to set up and immediately found my location. Being a storm chaser, this app is an important tool for me. (Samsung Galaxy Note 5)

I like it but it will not keep updating my location at all times. It will just stop, then i have to get in to the app to update it.

Great app to quickly report your location. Just make sure you have location services on! It runs in the background. Also really nice interface!

Only see the "Enter Spotter ID" page. Cant access the maps. Was working fine a month ago.

I really like it. But sometimes, there is this really weird like code talk. Like location= false or something like that. Otherwise, great app. It rarely has bugs and crashes.

A bit buggy sometimes (sometimes have to open it twice for it to get a lock, and end background service twice to end it) but generally works well and once it's running, seems to report more regularly than other apps with integrated spotter network.

After the update it will I keep my current location

This app has yet to show my current location on the map. I suspect I need the full Windows Client for that option, as far as I can tell it's not showing because the website SN isn't showing me as active. If the app had a FULL interface with SN I'd give it 6 stars.

Would give 5 stars as I am sure it is an awesome and life saving program but wont update my location. Just downloaded yeaterday. Edit: Thanks for the reply but I figured it out. Just needed to turn on my location service. Does not work with cell tower triangulation. Great app!

Will not update spotter network just says i have the wrong username

Did everything it says to do in the instructions and I still cant see my location on Spotter Network. Using a HTC 1

Update 02-22-2014: Worked with the developer on a problem and he was very nice on getting me up and running. There seems to be a minor problem with the galaxy S4 (not all of them, just a few) and he sent me an earlier version. I installed it and all works well. This is the best service I have ever had on working on an app problem. Raised the 2 start to a 4 star. Thank you very much.

How do i pull up the GPS as shown on the picture?

Great app. It helps me out considerably while out storm spotting. No more having to worry about constantly sending my position details to spotter network. It does it all for you so you won't miss any action.. I rate five stars! great job on this fantastic app!

EDIT: The developer responded quickly to my previous comment and helped me get the app going on my phone. Looking forward to using it on my next chase. :-)

My name is Sean Kiaer from Trucker Weather Watch. I am not much of a techie so when it comes to apps and stuff and getting them to work I am kind of lost. Any how I just bought a new Razr Maxx from Verizon and I love the phone. I am also a NWS mobile storm spotter. Any how I was having troubles getting the app to work and so I sent an E-Mail to Verne the developer of the program. He went so far as to stop his Bicycle ride and chat with me to get things figured out. No mind you how many customer service people have contacted on a sund and they really don't give you the time of day let alone answer there E-Mail. Well Verne stopped what he was doing with his mom none the less and took the time to get me up and running. AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Great Product now that It works and Even better customer service. As such I am proud to announce that Chaser Location is the Official App for Trucker Weather Watch. PS I wish there were more stars to rate this Product and Service Because I would make sure that it had at least a million Stars.

Ran it on the first chase this past week, and it was super stable the whole trip...turn it on and forget about it. No more need to run several boggy applications just to stream video!

The application is well worth the time and if you need help it's a click away very professional if your having problems just use the email and let him know and he well help and he is fast if your going to leave a bad review you haven't tried to contact him to resolve the problem this guy is good and his apps are awesome..

I was able to stop using webcam max and the spotternet client by using this app on my phone. That means my laptop went from a dual core 15 inch to a netbook that can ride in my glovebox. Great app!

Now I can track all my chaser bud lol

Don't work - won't initialize gps

been waiting for this for a long time.... now i don't have to run the app on my pc and give more grunt to the encoder
