Central Taxi Niagara for Android
Did not install as permissions are ridiculous. It wants access to all contacts files pictures etc NO WAY IT NEEDS IT
Selected 5 passengers and a car showed up that can only take 4 passengers. Cab drive was rude and blame me for not entering correct amount and then just drove off. Also, the select your current address did not select the correct address.
Crashes constantly. Some cabbies don't even read the instructions. App hasn't allow booking later for over 24 hrs.
I have upgraded my rating for this app as it has been much improved since the first version in 2014. Each update I see much improvement.
Always says unfortunately app closed...
It used to be great but now it seems drivers are not accepting my ride request. I take the cab for short distances that would take half hour to walk or 2 minute cab drive. I feel I've been ignored do to the short distance. I can see on the app drivers are close by but won't accept the ride. I've even had to walk because of this and on my way see a central taxi in a parking lot parked doing nothing. Then they complain about having slow nights ridiculous!!

I am basically in downtown St Catharines and I am being told I am outside of the service area. I get the same message on the website when I try to book a cab as well. Has Central Taxi stopped serving St Catharines?
Consistently have had issues with poorly trained drivers on in app payments. There's been occasions where I've been overcharged as they either didn't enter through correctly or through button mashing as if they were playing a 90s video game resulting in added incidental charges. Drivers have been rude and shown an unwillingness to adapt to the changes to compete against "ride sharing". Being that in app payments are the only way of paying an Uber driver, I'll be trying them out next ride I take.
Constantly tells me that I'm out of the service area when I'm well within the city limits.

I rec'd email about taxi coming. Installed app later & it said my email & password were wrong. PS: driver almost did not stop because he saw another central tax. I Uninstalled App.

Doesn't even work.
This app is not ready for use. It states that you can input accurate information but you cannot specify the type of vehicle ie van vs car. You also can only choose cash or credit the option for debit is missing. This app needs a bit more work beforeit is put in full use. There is also no option for in putting if you have an account with the company a very useful thing for postalking workers etc
Very easy to use, accurate location of the customer, fun to track down your cab.

App was slow but workable. The drivers on the other hand do not know it or just hates it. I never shorted a driver before but almost 60% of the time they are irritated with me whenever they realized I prepaid with an app. One dude wanted me to pay with my card today, even though I just did with the app and basically told me to just leave when I tried to explain to him how the app works. I really tried...back to Uber I go. I'd rather pay Uber a little more than save and be treated so poorly.
