DroidGrep for Android
Make sure you add an extension first (no dot). The app only looks in folders. It would be nice to query single files.
Using tabs 8.4 unrooted. When adding subdirectories for search, it only list sdcard and not it's subdirectories.
idk wut this even is...
Abandoned app
Doesn't work - can't select subdirectories and no results show up
Doesn't list files or folders, even on internal storage. Can't navigate down the file tree because directories appear empty when they're not
POS
Can't seem to select subdirectories of sdcard. With regular expressions and extensions filtering, it's on the right path but not as easy to use as another one, imho.
The reason I got this app was to search files in DroidEdit. It's great at doing that, but if you have DroidEdit pro, you can use Dropbox, and SMTP (I use SMTP) but you can't search those files. Not only that, but you can't even load files on the SD Card.
Just crashed when I pressed search. Im on cyanogenmod 10.1 on a samsung galaxy s3 . When searching I added .html & .htm as extensions to search in.

Can't find my directories never mind my files. No use whatsoever as far as I can see.
All directories are empty, please fix
Same problem as others. Can not select subdirectories. Samsung Galaxy Note 3
Does not find any folders under sdcard so useless
Nexus 4
Not much use then...
Shows me as having no files in folders when I know there are files
excellent for searching through a bunch of source code. (Perhaps make it work with Samsung multi-window?)

Damn this app
Android 4.1 JB Galaxy Note 2 and droidgrep did grep and return expected results from a txt file on either sdcard0 or extSdCard. However, I chose the agrep app instead. Agrep finds hits AND if you press on a hit agrep will open the input file and position to the highlighted grep string.
Used to work on Galaxy Note 1, Jelly Bean. Doesn't work on Note 3, Kitkat.
Crashed and restarted my entire phone on the first try. Uninstalling.
Gives me a bunch of different ways to understand What is going on in the real world of texting.
This search machine passing files bigger than 20-30 KB , plz add options
Doesn't work
When I had this on my tablet, the whole *device* became frequently unresponsive --- and lots of other words stuff happened too. Seriously, this app needs to go back to the drawing board.
I made a txt using droidedit but when o tried searching with this app that droidedit recommend to install i cant see any file! Whaayyyy????
was about to buy the DroidEdit after try out free and found out that this app is the extension for the file extension. Unfortunately, no out put after search. 1 star. Why? You haven't updated this app for about 3 years. Afraid you are doing the same with the DroidEdit. So, I'm not purchasing it until this app is updated.
Most informing and insightful.. Thanks
This looks like it could be a great app but, when I tried to test it out, it doesn't work. I created a text file in /sdcard/ with DroidEdit and then searched for the text I had added to the file, making sure to add the extension I saved it with but, no results.

Nexus 4
But fails to find all or any instances in a search...frustrating.
Wow André your apps are fantastic. I use Droidlicious, and most of all DroidEdit on a daily basis! Now I know I am going to using this a lot too! This definitely simplifies my search through my 14gb sd of tons of java, js, html, css etc files. Thanks for your awesome apps!
Like most others, I couldn't get this app to yield any results on a query of something I knew was there. It'd be great to have -any- documentation pertaining to the app, but it doesn't look like there is any...
This is the only grep app worth installing, IMHO.
