I like this app

Simple interface, not overloaded with b.s. news. They were the first to alert me when the Maryland shooting happened this morning. I would recommend this app to anybody simply for the convenience.

Rubbish. Won't refresh emails. Have uninstalled the app, but no use. Emails don't show up for hours

Attachments larger than 100K fail to be uploaded and sent by the app. It's always a mystery if they will go through. Other apps interfacing with AOL don't have this problem.

I have to look at adds when checking my mail! ???? and the writing is harder to see what your looking at when checking email. Make a app just for checking your mail please.. I don't use AOL for anything else all I wanna do is check my email.. I'm in happy you made me upgrade. :( okay.. New mail looks like old mail and the big box's beside each email is very distracting and I'm just so upset with this upgrade.. I hate it!!!!! I can't stand opening my mail now!!! Guess I'm going to have to gradually get away from AOL, they have gone down hill, years ago I wouldn't you use anything but AOL for everything but now I just use Sol for 1 old email account I have and I use Google for everything else.

Most confusing log on screen. Having entered username you are ordered to "Use different email or username" (or similar). Transpires that it is a question, so why not clarify???

ETA: latest update on 3/5/18 send to have fixed some of the bugs that were a result of the Feb update. This latest update ruined this app (from 2/25/18). Can't use the back arrow, won't load emails without stuttering, and most of the time the forward/apply arrow doesn't even show up. I have uninstalled and reinstalled it twice now and that's not fixing it which means it definitely was the latest update. Won't reinstall until a new update has been sent.

Ever since I I updated app, I can't access my email until I close all my apps. An inconvenience.

I just want an email client that works, but this app is bloated with news and other features. Notifications fail to take you to your latest email. App needs closing to work properly quite often. I'd recommend elsewhere if all you need is mail.

Pretty awful....worked fine until last update. Notifies me that I have an email, but doesn't show up in my inbox for about a half an hour later. Did everything support told me......still very slow.

Have had AOL since I started using a computer, but lately this app SUCKS because it will never load new mail. Says I have 8 emails waiting, but just keeps telling me the mailbox is empty to matter how many times I refresh or re-download this app. PLEASE fix this!! Very inconvenient!!

I've been with AOL since 1996 when I got my first computer, it has always provided all the news I needed from around the world. The program has always worked on every computer I've ever bought but the at times to many bugs, at times to many crashes.. in time they were worked out. Then when everything was running smooth they go and sell the company and right away they toss a perfect program in the trash. I'm still holding onto the aol mail.... For now...

So it only takes 4 months for aol to screw email app again. This time, for even worse. Not it only takes 12 extra hours to get email, but you can't even open it. Nice job. Going to move my email to gmail. Never had issues with them. Time to close up and get rid of aol for good

Needs to be fixed. Current update broke the mail part of the app. **edited to update** figured out after the update I had to visit my settings and enter my emails like new accounts again. It prompted me to open in a web browser to enter my user name and password then took me back into the app. At first things appeared broken, but It wasn't.

Having to see what you think is news before I get to my emails is beyond annoying. I have been on AOL for eons. But seriously considering a change.

Notification still doesn't take you to correct email. Have reinstalled. Still no good. Have used for ages but now it doesn't work properly. Lots of things wrong. Please fix

If I delete and reinstall will I lose my saved folders???? UPDATE. The emails won't load. I get notification of new email but they don't show up in the app. Then later they show up but won't load when opening. Later still they finally open. Shouldn't have to wait hours to read an email. This all started after the last update. Very annoying. Don't like in new look of the inbox. Way too spaced out, can't see many e-mails.

I am only using this because Verizon stopped supporting the android email function. This app is a great big headache. It won't automatically go get new email all the time. I have to use the phone's task manager to force everything closed, then reopen the app in order to refresh the mail.

What have you done??!! Why are my old emails now in the spam folder? Why can't I use the back arrow? Used to be a very good app, last update has ruined it. Rather than telling people to log out and in try giving the bugs! Edit: worst bugs seem to be fixed. Usable again!

Functionality of email comes second to biased news stories. Just make email work the way it is supposed to please. And use a variety of sources when pulling stories. Otherwise it looks like fake news.

I am frustrated with both Android and iPad versions where I can't seem to change the web browser used when opening links in emails. I can see the source code on the iPad so that I could copy and open the link in the preferred browser. I am not thrilled with the lack of customization.

I don't like all the negativity about President Trump. The liberal biased is sickening!!! I have had this email address for so long I don't want to get a new one. That's the only reason I keep using it.

Can't get emails. Surely that's the whole purpose of the app? *Got a reply saying make sure I'm using the latest version of the app. I am, that's the problem, the old version was WAY better. You could actually get email on the old version!

Used to be better. Ever since it last updated it won't let me "x" out ads at the top of inbox; notification on home screen, but doesn't load in the inbox until I exit and then go back in again. It also doesn't save my mail properly. Read mail and/or unread mail not listed under "all mail". Had to go through all my folders and mail because when it updated it scattered mail all over! Something needs to be done! And now it doesn't show my emojis in emails I send! Aol needs to fix this problem on their end!

Although I like this app, I would like to be able to cancel all my emails in one go rather than have to go through them one by one. You only have to miss a day of not cancelling unwanted emails and you end up with loads of emails. Also it seems that your email is easily accessible by company's that you haven't accessed , and although it's easy to unsubscribe, it seems it just switches to another company selling the same thing.

I have 3 email accounts. Before I was forced to AOL from Verizon, I could view all 3 at once in a combined view, but now I have to switch from a news feed to each account one at a time. It takes time to load each account and it is very time consuming!! Please fix it to view all three at once.

It was fine before the last upgrade. You broke it. Now it does not show new e-mails. You have to close app and then open again. Does not communicate well with server. Doesn't show e-mails were moved to another folder and keeps them as new. Please fix. Afraid to reinstall. Many other uses say they can't sign on after they do that.

Slow to respond when deleting or opening messages. Too many sponsored 'news' stories. Have to use it though as I can no longer use the default email app on my Android device to view my aol email. ????

I don't know if it's this app or Verizon that is going to make me completely leave and go to a cable provider. But I hate AOL with the passion of a thousand suns. They are so annoying, and pushy with their pop ups and other invasive ways. 25 years ago I had to literally cancel my credit card to get rid of them. I am looking forward to hating the cable company, just a little bit less

Can't login to mail with the latest update, the only reason I have the app. I was forced to update by aol to access mail thru the app. Now it's useless to me. I can get news content from more trusted sources. They keep telling me the problem is with my tablet. Worked fine before the update.

Never an issue before updating now impossible to retrieve any messages on android phone. No issues with AOL app on laptop or ipad. Will have to migrate to another email provider who can provide the most basic service of allowing me to check my emails.

Don't know what's going on, All of a sudden, I get a notification that I have , but it doesn't showup. When it does, it won't load. It won't work until I use my laptop to read the mail. It will work for a while, then it starts all over again. There is no way to troubleshoot it, no options to fix it. If this keeps up, I'm going to delete the AOL App and go with something else.

Update: fast response from developers. It works great again! Thank you for fixing this! You're awesome!! It was great until the recent update. Now the back icon doesn't function and email is always an hour late, at least. I've waited up to 7 hours to receive email. Please fix this!!! So frustrating.

Used to love the app to have access to my AOL mail. But for some reason lately it has been really really slow. For this reason is why I'm giving it only three stars. My question is what changed?

Use this for my email and all was dandy.. But now, I don't recieve some emails, some come blank, and when I try to send some, I have to resend them multiple times. Anyone else having this issue?! When I have someone send it to my other email account, it works perfectly fine! And DONT tell me to delete and reinstall it because I have a million times! I've emailed support too and no answer!

Works better than the stock mail app. However, I dropped it to 3 stars since the last update. Now when I get a notification for a new email the only way to get to it is to clear it out as being open in my application manager. If I don't no matter how many times I reload my inbox the new emails do not appear.

Used to be a great app that I used on both iOS and Android with no problem: now, however, I will get notifications that I have received an email, but it won't show up in my in-app inbox no matter what I do. I have to go through a browser to check my emails, which defeats the purpose of the app. Never used to have this issue, but seriously considering uninstalling and potentially moving everything over to Gmail. What's the point in an email app if I can't even access the messages?

Great app for news and entertainment.

All is very unresponsive and the interface is not user friendly. No choice but to struggle with it as AOL have taken the old desktop software down. Only other option which I am considering is to ditch AOL once and for all.
