I've been using AVG on my PCs for a long time now. Best antivirus software I have ever used. So, of course, I would be choose to use it on my cell. I would and have recommended AVG to many people for antivirus protection. I am happy to say that it performs as well as I expected it to. Jan. 14, 2018 - for some reason all of a sudden AVG keeps stopping. I close and restart it and it stops again. I'm going to try and uninstall and reinstall but if that doesn't work I'm going to have to go a different way. Really sad about that because I've been using AVG for quite some time.

The bottom 4 features (like boost ram) on the app home page disappeared weeks ago. I went pro to try to correct the issue; of course that didn't work! So I contacted support weeks ago that same day. I never heard back and it's been almost a month!

Easy to use. Functional features including securing apps and performance boosting. Buying the yearly subscription when is on sale is worth it to keep your app and protection up to date without worry. I like it. Haven't had any problems and has stopped the "you've been affected by a virus" click bait advertising.

Really frustrating, been using and paying for it for over a year but still I'll occasionally open the app to find I have been downgraded and have to put up with adverts until I have time to uninstall and reinstall. Fantastic for cleaning your device and keeping it running but at nearly £10 a month I'm starting to wonder if the free one would be just as good.

"The AVG zen app for mobile is discontinued per the email from AVG. With respect to this, we have removed option to enter invitation codes and device listing under Zen PC. Our developers are aware of this and working on a alternate solution." This is the message I received from them when I complain that my product is not listed in their website. Why would they take my $12 if they know the application is not working.

Way too many ads now, OMG! I remember when I first downloaded AVG in 2013. I liked the free version so paid for it just to support good free apps. Back then it only had some features locked like anti-theft until paid to unlock and no further payments and I don't remember bothersome ads. Now 2018 has monthly and yearly subscriptions with huge and sneaky ads, like traps, everywhere with the free version. Seems like now paying for this app is a ransom payment to keep the ads off your back. Sad sad sad turn for the worst.

You get the 5 star rating you deserve when you pull these ads off my homescreen. App has been good for so long and now I get ads to things I'll never be interested in every 2 mins. If I have to pay to not see them I'll just download another app

Well, it appears they fixed their battery drain issue. However, push notifications of various "upgrades" to their products have come daily, which means people will either ignore important notifications, or do what I had to do, deny any permissions for AVG push notifications. Bundling a bunch of useless or annoying features does not make a better product. Pushing ads or "notifications" constantly just annoys people. It is a shame no antivirus company seems to understand such a simple concept.

Greatly disappointed. Since latest update App won't open nor deactivate to reinstall. Been sending error report messages with no response. Device is having issues and I can't access App to see whether malware is causing a problem. Fix whatever has gone wrong since latest update. 5 star rating will then return.

My biggest complaint is that the charging screen pops up every time i plug in my phone and interrupts tasks. Anti-virus works fine but theres a ton of adds and i hate the charging screen. I do not need to know how long it will be until my phone is charged ans i wish i could toggle this annoying feature

For those that don't know, you can turn your charging Screen off !! Top left Tab , on the home screen. In the settings of the app Charging Screen tab. Good app, all in all easy to navigate feels secure to have in your phone or tab. liking it so far keep up the good work Dev's.

I feel like this app provides false data in order to get you to pay for the full service. I constantly get notices saying my apps have an 80% + impact on my data when my phone is on airplane mode? I run a daily scan and noticed that the used storage on the phone and the browser cache increasy slightly each time even when i have not used it

So many apps seem to crash and burn or end up being complex versions of uselessness. AVG is simple and does the basics consistently. I have other antivirus apps installed but never found the need to use them. AVG has been my go-to app for over 3 years. At 57 I can say this app is all you'll need and a breeze to navigate

Great simple to use app. The only downside is the nagging on a product that initially stated they would always remain free. Which to the letter they are, they just limit your options and security behind pay walls. Definitely a good choice.

One very happy customer! It is unfortunate to read of other people having misfortune with this app. I for one of many find the ease of use and practicality to be top notch and I recommended AVG to many of my friends and family. Bravo!

waste of time. simply uses up Resources by constantly running scans in the background, without finding any issues other than storage and RAM. I have a keylogger app on my phone, which should appear as a threat but this app failed to identify it as a potential security issue. it unnecessarily uses more resources by scheduling recurring scans in order to recover storage space. the short intervals between scans make the results superfluous. Saved me 54 mb on the most recent one. woohoo, Christmas came early for me! it also offered to save me an additional 4.5 gigs with a deep scan/clean but when I clicked that option, it takes me to Google Play in order to download yet another AVG app. no thank you!

A venerable and mature product that does not appear to interfere with apps; cause comparatively high load; or require excessive mgmt at a most competitive cost. New features added since introduction are useful and stand up to others.

This app works great in terms of antivirus software but as of late, its caused something of an issue. My tablet and phone batteries are dying oftly fast and when I go check the battery consumption, it says that AVG Antivirus is the top battery consumption or very close to the top. Note this isn't all the time. Sometimes it'll act normally and account for 4% after a good few hours like 9 or so but at other times when I had my phone off the charger, it ate about 18%. I'm not sure whats with this. Could this be looked into? My hardware isn't the newest but it wasn't doing this before. (Edit: Thank you AVG for tackling the battery problem in such a timely manner. AVG is now using far less battery. Still the same great software I've used for years and will continue to use. Keep up the great work!)

I use Avg on my pc and on my cellphone...has saved me headaches Several times. In my experience, AVG has performed better than Kaspersky or Norton 360 or others I have purchased. Thank you for a good product, AVG.

I have had no problems with this app at all, keeps my device and all my files safe and secure. Update, dropped from 5 stars to 3 as since using this app I now have to charge my phone two to three times a day, I never had to do that before using avg!

Ha! I told the app I would rate it 5 stars, but I'm actually rating it 1 star, because that action is unforgivable, and if someone asks me what a good antivirus for Android is, I can no longer recommend AVG. Besides the evil lying, deceptive tactic used to falsely manipulate average review scores, it constantly asks for money and "alerts" me about issues relating to other AVG software I'm not using and features I intentionally turned off. It's a shame, because this app has features I really like.

The app is really good. But since downloading my battery is awful! Only downside I can say. But it's a massive issue that needs fixing I'm having to charge my phone 3-4 times a day.

Over the last month my battery is being used up faster and the app using it the most is AVG. It has used up to 25% of battery capacity. Rather than running in the background, it is now the most dominant app. This is not really acceptable!

I've been using Trend Micro mobile security for years but I love AVG better especially the anti theft as it's eaiser than the Trend Micro one. One thing I can't seem to find is ability to exempt certain apps from being shut down.

Good security. I use AVG on my PC and now on my Android devices. My only complaint is that AVG seem to have made use of their Apps and programs more complex and more obscure ... leading to the feeling that they're less user friendly than they used to be. But, well done AVG! Just remember that your users want simplicity and clarity about what your services offer and what the controls do.

It good and easy to use but please stop getting me to buy your other services. The notifications are annoying and if they become too annoying I'll be cancelling.

AVG has been giving me a lot of battery problems. Whenever I go into the battery section of settings AVG is shown as the largest drainer of my battery.

Ap is nice but it many times start on its own. Greatly disappointed. Please work on this problem. When I was writing a text on WhatsApp it started on its own. Its a request please do something on it or else I will delete it and download Avast free antivirus

I Always feel safe knowing AVG is protecting my device's I love it because AVG will reminded me that I need to clean out the junk I've accumulated'. I've used it for about 7 years without AVG causing problems Thanks AVG

Have always been happy with AVG Antivirus. Have on laptop, tablets, kindle and phone. Use free version so I do not find the ads an unrealistic annoyance. I will say when I have checked out your other products to clean, boost, scan, I end up removing them because of additional ads and notifications appearing everywhere. I found that excessive but AVG Antivirus has always worked great for me.

Annoying sales messages to upgrade & stupid ads whilst trying to evaluate the product. Random lockups and laggy performance AFTER doing the full scan for issues. Will uninstall shortly. My phone is a Samsung galaxy a5

This app is simple yet very effective. It catches every potentially harmful virus and it allows you to immediately fix the problem. This is on everyone one of my devices and it works perfectly on each!

I can't get rid of their free trial of PRO services. It left for a few weeks but now is back. And I'm having the same issues as other reviewers. Can't do anything without something from AVG popping up. Annoying and intrusive.

Love it! This is the best antivirus for phones. I used a few others, but they were too invasive. I am so glad to find an antivirus that gets the job done but is not too intrusive.

Way too many notifications that would constantly freeze up my device. Also, made it very difficult to unlock screen. I will take my chances at this point. I used to trust AVG, but apparently, they've jumped on the bandwagon of marketing overkill.

I liked it and it said that it will keep me protected so that's why. 15th January 2018: I think I might have a virus but antivirus isn't detecting it, I can't access chrome, and it sends me to different things. Please help, and fast

No problems, a great app. Only gripe I have is that I wish u could change what appears in the widget. Maybe I can but not found a way yet. Any ideas?
