No More Speeding Tickets, Red Light Fines or School Zone Confusion!
Set & Forget - auto launch when you are driving^
New South Wales ONLY (for Now)
Get the current speed zone as you drive, without having your phone taken over by a navigation app. This app has two modes:
Interactive mode*:
- Where you can see the current speed zone you are in and the next speed you are heading towards, including the distance to the speed change.
- Visual alert when near a Speed Camera, Red Light Camera etc.
- Audio and Visual Alert when over speed
Floating Mode:
- In this mode the speed indicator floats above all other windows allowing you to get alerts when doing other things with your phone, it can also be moved out of the way.
Both modes have the option to announce speed changes as they happen.
*Permissions:
ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION: so the app can ask the server which Speed Zone you are in.
ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE and INTERNET: So the app can contact the server
SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW: this is how the floating display works
ACTIVITY_RECOGNITION: app to automatically notify when driving.
RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED: not used yet, but needed to allow the app to automatically notify when power on and driving.
android.permission.GET_TASKS = needed to stop auto launch if "phone" is active
*Don't operate your phone while driving, have a passenger do it.
^ Set and Forget works because of a new Google Service, this app does not remain running it is started by Google's Activity Service now built into Android.

At initial start up it shows 50kph limit. This doesn't change at all while driving. What's wrong?

App starts up even when set not to auto turn on. Message 'app not set to turn on when no power connected' is so large it takes over almost whole screen and keeps coming on every 30 seconds or so (even when app is not set to turn on when movement detected....). It freezes phone in float mode when red message appears and randomly freezes phone for about 2 mins. When no Internet speed resets to 50 even if on freeway at 110, can't it just warn no Internet? Pl fix. Like this app for float mode option. Galaxy s5

Where does this app get its speed zone info from? Rarely has it been correct, thus, one star. Floating display needs size adjustment, but it's no good if the speed is wrong anyway. (Liverpool/Campbelltown NSW)

I get notifications of speed zone changes only occasionally. Also app doesn't appear to start up automatically with driving detected. Needs to be launched manually. Steve L

Great App. The automatic start feature ensures that I will never forget to start the app. Even when driving the same route every day, the speed camera and school zone alerts have proven to be invaluable. Great support too. Highly recommend.

Way off the mark... Speed zones are not accurate the floating point thing is annoying and the spoken alerts drove me crazy even for the few minutes I was able to tolerate them. No ability to set speeding tolerance levels make it annoying and useless.

Best speed zone and camera alert app I've used so far. Very easy to use and nice UI. I really love the floating mode as you can use it with Google Maps Navigation, and the auto launch that detects when you start driving. Would be great if I could see my vehicle speed.
