Anthem MRX Remote for Android
When it works it is a good alternative to the remote. But it is unstable and crashes often. Since I lost the remote and do not feel like paying $90 for a replacement, this will have to do.
Nexus 6P & 1120... Used to work, now not at all... I've tried resetting all AVR network settings, then unplugging power, clearing cache and data on phone app, uninstalling, restarting phone, reinstall app....No Joy...
Could not get the app to work with my 710. Tired several times and multiple restarts and guy nothing. All the buttons are greyed out except power and that button does nothing.
Hasn't worked for months on my Nexus 6P and AVM60. Worked for a few days but utterly useless since. Very poor. Very disappointing.
App worked well (never great) but stopped working some 6 months ago. All buttons are greyed out and it won't allow access to Setup. Network configuration is still the same so it isn't that. Useless app at this point.
Doesn't work with the 720 and my Nexus 5x. Won't connect to the receiver. UPDATE A FEW MONTHS LATER: IT STILL DOESN'T WORK. Add in more months. Come on anthem. It's a remote not a program to cure cancer. I could write this in my sleep....
Doesn't work with droid turbo 2. Will not connect...for some reason the app is not asking for wi-fi permission... I believe. Anthem won't Support app as well.
App doesn't connect, 1 star rating is too high! AVM 60 owners don't waste your time.
Not yet available for the MRX x20 series, which is a shame. The new series has been available for almost a year, but the app only supports the x10 series amps.
Hard reset of my MRX310 has fixed the connection issue I was having. Perfect again now.
Works fine for MRX x10 series, but when will you release one for the x20 series?
Please add support for avm60
Does not work correctly with MRX 720
Works better then the remote. Especially when adjusting balance and levels. Edit...just go a Droid turbo2, unable to get phone to connect. Tried powering down receiver for 2 days, uninstall, reinstall app multiple times. Pulled out old Droid maxx, connected fine. Don't know what is going on.
This app crashes regularly which in itself is a problem. BUT what happens if the app crashes when you are in the process of increasing the volume? Well this just happened to me - the volume on my MRX710 just continued to raise until reaching max volume. Blew the tweeter on one of my main speakers (a 11.500 USD Audiovector).
It was able to connect with the receiver 1 Out of 10 and then the MRX just hung (I had to unplug and plug it again). Same results with the ipad/iOS.
I've used this app on my 510, 710, and now my 1120 and AVM 60. It has always worked great. -> Upate: I've discovered that this truly is for x10 product. Sometimes it works on my x20 gear, sometimes not. A full update is coming for x20 however, and it's just around the corner.
Works perfectly on my MRX 520 with the latest firmware update. Love the perfect layout of the main page of the app with just Power, Vol +/- and Mute. That's all you really need on an amp remote 99.9% of the time. Thanks Anthem!
It works on my Nexus 6P until I push the Mode selector button then it immediately crashes...
If it works, it's great. Doesn't work with my Nexus 5x on Marshmallow, but does with my old Nexus 4 on Lollipop.
Doesn't work with the 720 and my Nexus 5x. Won't connect to the receiver.
Great app, replaces the physical remote entirely.
I had installed/ uninstalled a few times wasn't working,my Co worker said "change the cat 5 cable". That took care of the problem. Works great now.
Works quite nicely. It does not rotate if phone or tablet is placed in landscape position.
I'd like for this to work but as of yet I'm unable to get the phone to locate/connect to MRX 510. Confirmed both devices are on the same subnet/local network. Help? Contacted Anthem support and they've basically given up and claimed that the app isn't compatible with my Nexus 6 and said that the app will not be updated further.
This app works great with my Galaxy tablet but it doesn't connect to the amp with my Oneplus 2. Hopefully this gets fixed.
With this app I can do anything that I can do with the standard remote. It works very well too. Make sure you enable the IP access in the setup menu of the receiver with your standard remote prior to trying to use this app.
Works better then the remote. Especially when adjusting balance and levels.
Works pretty well. Still have some issues with turning the unit ON.
Works flawlessly. But the interface could be improved much.
Works perfectly for me on latest MRX310 firmware. I've been waiting for this and I must say my expectations have been met.

Downloaded and installed app worked like a champ, not sure what happened I tried to power up unit would not power up play fi would not work, had to reset everything. Play fi works, remote has not worked since Further investigation and an email to tech support revealed that this app is for the x10 family of products and is not recommended for the x20 series, that remote for iphone/android will be out spring of 2017, alas I'll wait patiently...none the less the 7w0 is a killer piece of hardware
