You don't need to purchase an audio guide if you have this, which can be downloaded through free wifi in the stonehenge musuem and anywhere you wan to.

Should do this with every English Herritage property

My kids are 3 and 6 and they loved listening to it. Basic but it means you focus on the monument and surrounding area rather than photos etc which you can do at home. It's also clear enough to hear on a windy day with lots of other people around! Does what it says on the tin!

Great audio tour. But there is no autoplay mode and no indicator whether the app is playing in the background. It was also surprising that when you launch the app for the first time it downloads more data without showing you how much.

Quite basic as it's effectively a port of the audio guide you hire. Could be enhanced with photos and video, and could use GPS to decide what to tell you and where to go next.

Works good and nice clear sound.

I don't know why other users said it did not work while disconnected, but it was fine for me. You just have to start it once when you have a good connection so it can download the audio, then it will work fine in flight mode. The guide is good and a nice alternative to queuing for a guide.

Why does a simple audio file need an active connection. The content is great when you can listen, which is NOT when you can see the Stones. It's been wrong now for 9 months surely it can't be that hard!

What is the point of this app when you can't use it at the monument? It downloads and then updates and you think its all stored on your device, but it won't work without WiFi!!?

Please fix this. This is a very amateur mistake. It is trivial to remove the requirement for an internet connection, and it isn't needed for the app.

Pick up a complementary audio tour handset from the visitor's centre before going up to Stonehenge itself. This app is a complete fail as it does not work on site.

wifi or 3g is needed to start up the app. Once the sound files have been cached it does not seem to use data anymore.

Despite what other reviewers have experienced it worked a treat for us, even at the stones. I'm on EE.

this app would be great if there was an offline mode.

The audio does download however you can't get to it if you don't have a data signal

Worked great at home, the hotel on the way, the two services but completely failed at Stonehenge itself, even with a great signal. Junk app, don't bother.

Does not work without WiFi/mobile data

Like a previous reviewer the app worked great at home . At the site I was told it can't work without WiFi connection and the Stones are too far from the visitor centre to be able to connect to the WiFi. On the day we visited the WiFi wasn't working at all .

This app requires internet connection to work which surprised me as it is quite big so I asumed I had downloaded the contenet not just the connection. Very disappointing.
