Simple Calendar Widget Pro for Android
Was really nice on lollipop but now, since android update to Marshmallow, the widget disappears randomly until I restart my phone. Very annoying, most of the time the widget is there, just invisible. Same thing happens if I remove and replace the widget. Major hassle and not practical, pretty useless now until it gets fixed.
User interface could be improved. I have been using this for many years but now that I have a Google pixel suddenly as soon as I start to personalize the look it gets very funky looking. Imported my settings from my S7 Edge to my pixel and it looks like garbage now. Not sure what's going on.
Pro version doesn't use same settings. All my widgets were lost and had to be recreated. Downloaded skins don't work. I wish I had never bought this and just kept using the free version.
I was a very happy user of the free version so upgraded to support developer. However, the pro version is unstable and skins don't even show up to be available when downloaded. The developer does not respond to emails so I am ready to move on but award the 1 star this app and it's support deserves.
I have used this for years. Sometimes I have had this problem but now I am not able get GTasks to show tasks in widget. Please help. I am an advanced Droid user. Any direction would help.
Used to love this widget, but isn't 100% compatible with Nexus or Pixel. When I try to customize the layouts, the events appear centered in the widget (as opposed to left-aligned). Very frustrating.
The settings are a bit complicated, I suggest you start with the defaults and only slowly modify every other day or so until you get your final configuration that you love. / On my device there's also a bug. Some events are displayed centered, some are properly displayed left aligned.
It doesn't update the current day and date. I have to relaunch it by restarting or by applying after changing or not changing any option in settings. Still can't use the downloadable themes. I wish there was something similar that was still being actively developed.
LIKE OTHERS HAVE SAID, GTASKS NOT WORKING ANYMORE. I have used this app for years and loved it. I don't know if there's a compatibility issue with the new Sony Xperia phone I recently got or with the Android Marshmallow OS, but after installing Simple Calendar Widget to the new phone the app no longer recognizes GTasks. After setting GTasks as the task source in settings, Simple Calendar does not recognize and list the GTasks task lists to display in Simple Calendar Widget. Hopefully this can be resolved in a future update.
When my phone updated to Android 7 all my events indented at random spacing. Can't seem to fix it. Been using this for years and this is the first issue I've had yet. Great app, but this update messed up something
Simple, very customizable, very cool for oled because of black theme. I actually did not need the pro version but bought it to support the dev. Thanks!
You can customize literally everything on this widget. It will satisfy even the pickiest people by allowing total control over layout and no matter what theme you are rockin, this widget can match.
This paid version does not work properly and is glitchy. Date on widget is blank, calendar items displayed are incomplete. Thought paid version would be better. Unfortunately, not. Uninstalling and getting refund.
...instead of left aligned. And no way to correct it
Love the widget and options, but my pro version will will not advance the calendar day. I have to open settings, check appearance and save on a daily basis. Obviously not right, but I can not get the settings to correct this. Please advise.
Almost perfect. Have purchased pro version. Only thing I would wish for is to be able to change the spacing between events, they're a bit squashed up and secondly to use event coloured bullets rather than. Calendar coloured bullets.
Great app, very versatile and easy to use
This is an excellent example of a useful calendar Widget. Very customisable and works flawlessly
...When I want to see upcoming events and my schedule quickly, this works faster than opening my calendar. It allows scrolling downward so I can see upcoming appointments and events. This widget can be configured to show your tasks too, but unfortunately it does not allow you to connect to Google like the calendar feature does. For that reason, I gave it only 4 stars.
I used to love this app, so I bought the pro version. It stopped working properly on my Samsung Galaxy S6, so I emailed support. No reply at all. The developer has apparently abandoned this product. Don't buy.
I would like to see the ability to synchronize and save setting on the google cloud. Needs new features and regular updates to improve performance.
worked for a week, but now just hangs and says loading. paid version. zuk z1 und cm12.
If the events can be shown according to the google calendar's colour
Does exactly what it says it does and the behavior is pretty customizable too which is a great bonus. Very happy with this one.

I upgraded to pro version. It does not load my newky created appts and the app "hangs" and just says loading. No support. Two thumbs down.
I used to use Smooth Calendar widget, but it started not working well, so i looked for an alternative and found this. I like this much beter. It is a little more tweakable, and I like the looks much more. For me, it's perfect as i don't have a super busy schedule, so I can see what's coming up for the next few days. I liked the free version enough to quickly upgrade to the Pro version to avoid the ads. So far, no problems
For $1.50 (I think?) the "Pro" version is totally worth it just to support these guys. My ONE nag would be that if the pro version can stretch the app to the edges of the screen, it only seems logical that the display area of the app should also go edge-to-edge as well. As it is now, the content is indented a minimum of 30 pixels in from the left - or at at least that's how far I have to indent the content in Zooper so they line up. Would be wonderful if there was a bit more customization here since I much prefer this app over using Zooper to display calendar info any day.
I use AA Tasker (calendar) & GTasks (tasks), but since an upgrade to Lollipop the Simple Calendar Widget no longer shows my daily tasks (from GTasks) on the widget - even though I've checked it under the Tasks setting. I really liked the way the widget shows tasks and calendar appointments on one day - kept me organized. Can this be fixed?
Wish there was a way to show minutes when it us :00
Has anyone been able to get the Holo skin to work with the pro version
the SC backup is not compatible with SC pro
Would've given it 5 stars if the app detected the native task function on Samsung phones. Detects the native task function on my HTC one though!
Also upgraded to support developer since I'd been using and love free version. Appearance back up settings didn't carry over, perhaps syncing with Google account so back up and restores can be available when you switch device or fresh install.
Extra skins download ok (holo etc. but don't show up as choices... Only see default skins available still, will 5 star when sorted.) On an S4.
Not always shows GTasks. When open and close widget GTask list disappear, then open and close again widget GTasks appears again. And so always.
A very good app for Version 1.00. Please enhance the Tasks function, at least add the Google Tasks source directly please. Thank you.
Had the free widget which was brilliant, so I thought why not buy this widget...good move, well done on an excellent app!!

I like the widget, and after some playing around made it easier to read, though for some reason even if I chose 'use Calendar colors' it defaults all but official US holidays to the 'event' color. Also, no matter what I do, I cannot get it to display reminders. I don't want to have to click into the Calendar to bring up the list. And yes, if I open Google Calendar through my phone the reminders are visible.
