Roronoa Zoro is a fictional character in the anime and manga series One Piece by Eiichiro Oda. He is a pirate, a former pirate hunter, and one of the main protagonists. He is a member of the Straw Hat Pirate Group who first joined him and to this day he is rated as the greatest threat and the most dangerous member of his group after the captain, Luffy.

His high popularity as a swordsman with great ability, along with the childish attitude of his captain, sometimes led many to think that he was the actual captain or, at least, the vice-captain in his group.
