About Lux Light Meter

Turns your phone into a light measurement device, capable of taking a stream of data points, and saving them to files for later use.

It has a manually set calibration factor, which you can change to adjust your readings.

It also can "zero" out the ambient light prior to taking a measurement of a specific item - like a flashlight in a well-lit room.

NEW: you are able to save the calibration factor now.

NEW: Full Version now available for free. Download or email yourself the data points that you recorded.

Feel free to contact us with any concerns or questions about the app.

Thank you,

I was using this app for a college surveying assignment, and it was initally hard to figure out, but once you get used to this app, it is very helpful. We were able to easily measure lux in several different spots with out having to press an y buttons. However, keep in mind, that if using a galaxy, the light sensor is on the front screen of the phone which can make it difficult to use

Took a bit to get used to, but this app is FAR better than most I have tried. Here's a good laff and advice for ppl. Read the manual under the 3 dots first. I forgot my light sensor was on the front. All the others are on the back of a SGS5. LOL. UPDATE : I was next to a window and revived NEG numbers. Is there a calibration needed? I would think the sensor would be as sensitive as the naked eye. Which has me thinking calibrations are needed.

Lux maxed out at 65,535? Through a double pane window. Won't even try bringing this app outside. Your "calibration" is just a multiplier it does not calibrate any sensors

There is no way its possibke to read -3 directly under luninaire, when a lux meter is placed next to phone it reads 34,5 lumens... Not to be used for reading lighting levels...
