Aneka Olahan Labu Kuning Waluh

Waluh (Cucurbita) mencakup sekelompok tumbuhan merambat anggota suku labu-labuan (Cucurbitaceae) penghasil buah konsumsi berukuran besar bernama sama. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari benua Amerika, tetapi sekarang menyebar di banyak tempat yang memiliki iklim hangat.

Waluh mencakup beberapa spesies anggota genus Cucurbita, yaitu C. argyrosperma, C. maxima, C. moschata, dan C. pepo. Dalam beberapa pengertian setempat di Indonesia, waluh disebut sebagai "labu" saja, meskipun sebenarnya labu mencakup kelompok tanaman yang lebih luas, seperti labu air, labu ular, labu siam, dan beligo. Waluh dibedakan dari labu lainnya karena buahnya dimakan yang telah masak (biasanya berwarna jingga), berukuran relatif besar, berbentuk bulat sampai bulat telur dengan lekukan daun buah yang tampak jelas, dan berkulit keras. Pengertian waluh agak bermiripan dengan gabungan pumpkin dan beberapa squash dalam bahasa Inggris.
