Doa Rosario merupakan devosi non-liturgi yang sangat populer di kalangan umat Katolik. Melalui doa Rosa-rio yang terdiri dari rangkaian manik-manik umat Katolik merenungkan karya penebusan Kristus di dalam 20 peristiwa sejarah keselamatan umat manusia.

Rosario berasal dari bahasa Latin yaitu rosa yang artinya bunga mawar. Rosario sendiri dapat diartikan sebagai rangkaian bunga mawar. Dalam budaya masyarakat Eropa bunga mempunyai arti yang sangat penting yaitu sebagai tanda cinta atau hormat.
