Kitab Barzanji ditulis oleh “Ja’far al-Barjanzi al-Madani, dia adalah khathîb di Masjidilharâm dan seorang mufti dari kalangan Syâf’iyyah. Wafat di Madinah pada tahun 1177H/1763 M dan di antara karyanya adalah Kisah Maulîd Nabi Shallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam.[1]

Secara umum kandungan kitab Barzanji terbagi menjadi tiga :
1). Cerita tentang perjalanan hidup Nabi Shallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam.
2). Syair-syair pujian dan sanjungan kepada Nabi Shallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam dengan bahasa yang sangat indah.

Barzanji Book written by "Ja'far al-Barjanzi al-Madani, he is khathîb in the Sacred Mosque and the mufti of the Syâf'iyyah. Died in Medina in the year 1177H / 1763 AD and among his works is the story of the Birthday of Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam. [1]

Generally Barzanji content of the book is divided into three:
1). The story of the journey of life the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam.
2). Poems of praise and flattery to the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam with a very beautiful language.
3). Blessings on the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam.
