The overall objective of this research is to investigate how cognitive biases impact on business related information in searching and decision making for engaging SEO. It will start with an overview of the literature related to cognitive biases and their impact on decision making and information searching; followed by a retrospective data analysis that preliminarily tests the working hypotheses behind small businesses. The hypotheses are to be formalised and tested in a Bayesian inference and belief network.
