ماذ نُصلى بالمزامير؟
تحتل المزامير المقام الأول فى صلوات الأجبية إذ أن كل صلاة تحتوى على12 مزمور ماعدا صلاة باكر فتحتوى على19مزمور، كما يوجد أيضًا فى مقدمة الصلاة المزمور الخمسين بحسب الترجمة القبطية، وقد أمر الكتاب المقدس بإستخدام المزامير فى الصلاة “متى إجتمعمتم فكل واحد منكم له مزمور” (1كو26:14). “مُكلمين بعضكم بعض بمزامير وتراتيل وأغانى روحية” (أف19:5).
كما جاء فى قوانين الرسل “لتكن أكثر الصلوات كل يوم ليلًا ونهارًا من المزامير لما فيها من الشكر، والتسبيح، والتضرع، والإعتراف بالذنوب”.
ويقول القديس أثناسيوس الرسولى: “التسبيح بالمزامير دواء لشفاء النفس”
ويقول القديس يوحنا ذهبى الفم: “إن الصلاة بالمزامير تجعل الأرض سماء، والبشر ملائكة وتُزين الحياة بأسرها، وتنمى الأولاد، وتدعو الشباب الى العقل الرزين، وتَهب العذارى العفة، وتَمنح الشيوخ التحفظ، وتدعو الخطاة الى التوبة”.
ولما كانت المزامير موافقة لكل إنسان فى كل زمان ومكان أجمعت الكنائس الرسولية شرقًا وغربًا على إستخدامها فى العبادة لأن فى المزامير كل إحتياجات الإنسان فى كل الظروف. Why pray psalms?

He says St. John Chrysostom: "The prayer psalms make the earth sky, humans angels adorn the whole of life, and develop the boys, and calls for young people to sober mind, blowing virgins, chastity, and give the Senate a reservation, and calls sinners to repentance."
Since the approval of the Psalms every human being in every time and place were unanimous apostolic churches, east and west to be used in worship in the Psalms because every human needs in all circumstances.
