VHS Camera Recorder is an Android app to create videos and photos that seem to come out of a VHS tape, recorded with a Camcorder.
Shoot videos that look and sound like you used an old damaged camcorder and put the tape in a shoebox for 30 years. Change the date to go back in time, and preview the effect in real-time as you record your "videotape".

I really like the subtle detail of the vhs noise. Awesome. Will you eventual combine the other camera apps into this one or into one? There are effects that I wish were in this app that would work well that are not. I use this app very often and hope to see some updates soon.

The VHS effect needs some fixes. Way too laggy. The other effects are cool, but why purchase a VHS video recording app for the other effects that are not VHS... need to be fixed. That's only reason I bought it was for this effect. If it wasn't laggy it would be perfect

Modern phone with no issues otherwise. App doesn't even work at bare minimum. Videos save with no sound. Hell, it hasn't been updated in 2017. Purchase with caution.

The free VHS apps are far better. This is very low quality, jumpy/ lags (with or without HQ), hardly any decent options, takes forever to process/ save. Rubbish!

I've bought this app to support the Dev thinking it's going to improve the VHS effect, but just added more crap effects and the VHS effect still poor. Could be better if remove the unrelated to VHS effects and focus on improve the VHS tape effect.

This app is pretty fun x3. If I could make any suggestions, I'd say improve the VHS effect so the quality is softer (if that makes sense). Since an actual VHS tape is lower in resolution than our phones (which is pretty amazing, to think how far we've come along by the way), it should have a slight blur effect applied to the picture as well as the time stamp itself. Also, VHS tapes tend to have a constant smidge of warping in the video signal at the bottom of the screen, so try and add that in if possible.
