Lost Android

This is my favorite app! I've tried all the features and they totally work. I've been using it for the past month and no problems. I've put it on all of our phones and I feel confident that I will find it if they get lost or stolen. The only thing I would change is to send an instant status report if the phone is off when you are trying to send it something saying whether its off or access has been turned off. But still it is a great app.

My biggest issue isn't the UI but the fact that you can only use your Google account. I'll show you a typical scenario: 1) you lose your phone when you're away 2) you ask a stranger to borrow their phone so you can call your phone, no luck/answer, you call your friend to use Android Lost to find it and take pictures 3) you have to give your Google Password for him to find it! It's THE most sacred password you own. If this were an AndroidLost account you would have no issue giving them your password.

a lot of these aps require you to text codes to the device from another phone to control. good luck remembering those codes. this you just log into google account. yes, any good security will flag as malware because of its features. its not. this is also well hidden in the device as personal notes so no one detects its installed unless they can get into play store or are familiar with the app

Good lord. Why is this a thing? The controls in my actual phone won't allow me to change to the screen time it I want and when I change it on this app's website it continually reverts to a preset time rather than the preference I stated again and again.

It has all the security features which are required to save my content and check my phone remotely. It works perfect when the phone is online. It's has the greatest privacy options. I can't found any other app like this, not even among the more expensive security services with recurring fees. Such a huge help, thanks.

This is the very best phone finder I have found on the market, hands down! 31+ functions available for locating a lost/stolen phone. I have thus far retrieved my stolen phone no less than 3 times.... The last time I was just in time to prevent it from being sold to a crooked dealer. Caught them in the middle of the deal! I will always install this most awesome functioning tool!

This app is a LIFESAVER. I cracked my screen, making it go black and unresponsive to touch. Fortunately, I could text and call people controlling the phone through this app and, after using this app to remove my lock screen, could use google commands to do much of the dirty work on my phone. Also, I was freaking out because there was no way for me to recover any photos or data without root or USB debugging, neither of which I had access to. I tried out the content server and it SAVED my butt. Seriously, have this in case you ever need it and have no other choice. You will highly appreciate it. Despite any bugs with the app, its benefits FAR FAR outweigh any risks or downsides to the app.

I used its all feature they are working properly and i also seted the numbers through which i can control but i dont know the method to control my andriod device through number.please help me .and can it be controled offline? Please solve my problem

I've used this for a few years now without any issues. I've never had to use it to find my phone. I recently installed webroot on my phone and this was flagged as malware. I don't believe this is a false positive from webroot. Either way I'd rather be safe, so I'm uninstalling Lost Android.

With this app, i can find my stolen smartphone and met thieves in his house. Big thanks for developer.. BTW, can you add a function to turn on HP using sms or something?

I have 2 samsung s7s both on my same Google account (work and personal phone) and I sent the push to both phones but seems to only be responding with the phone I have and not the other that was stolen :/ says it's installed on the stolen one just fine. I don't know what to do now...

Thought there were some issues going with the app. It had stopped working but after playing around with it for a while I found out that you must select the top option on the top right that has 'hero' in it. Only then would my phone actually receive the commands. I have it setup on all of my family members phones.

WOW! Speaking as a 20yr I.t. pro, I am blown away by all the features this app has over its competition. I don't even need the premium features, but I'm buying it anyways, simply because the developers deserve it. Finally, someone figured out a GPS switch is ideal :D

This app is the first app I install when I get a new device. Not only had it helped recover my phone it also made my phone usable in an emergency after I broke my screen. Willing to try anything this dev. Pushes out.

This is / has been the best app ever made for its purpose, if you cannot figure it out or take time to read instruction. Go elseware. It is NOT malware!! Any app with this amout of flexibility in the system will get flagged by crappy malware apps, especially when the AV company is too stupid to whitelist known apps like this one. Its an app that installs under a diff download name. Sick of readed all the bad comments that are pure ignorance. Pick up a book.The most deserving 5 star app ever made.

Never encountered an app of this caliber! Does exactly what the developer describes and much much more. No app that I have downloaded before has been able to do what this app does without charging a million bucks. thanks for the great app!

1. Disable all buttons when phone is remotely alarmed. This feature will not allow the thief, switching off the phone and volume down. 2. Automatically switch ON the phone at given time once in 24Hrs if phone is switched off. With this feature disable all types of sounds ie, alarm, rings etc. and turn ON the GPS once 24Hrs for remotely check the location of the phone.

It seems a bit clunky at first but once you get used to it it works like a charm. Test it after installing it and familiarize yourself with the controls. I feel comfortable knowing it's installed on my phone. This is one of the very first apps I install on every new Android I get :)

Worked great while it was working but it stopped all of a sudden. There are no messages or alerts explaining why so I've tried whatever I could find in the forum discussions but nothing has worked.

I love this app dearly and have been using it for years, however the new device security on Android 7.0 keeps identifying it as malware and won't leave my notifications. Very annoying. Is there a way to "whitelist" this app that I'm not aware of?

Doesn't work with Android M and N on any of my phones. The most important feature is locate phone but that now NEVER works.. ever. Sad

While taking pictures from remote command it make sound and start the android lost app.. It may aware the theft about android lost.. And another bug is when we make it hide by using hide package command then it not working. Above bugs are occurred on my one plus x with Android 6. Please fix the bug.

Latest has been flagged as malware.. Samsung S6 dev. Please resolve or I will have to remove app, since update nothing but grief.

There is nothing real about this app, I installed it twice to help me recover my lost android but discovered it to be the most useless app one can use.Nothing is real about what it can do. How do you.prove the thief that stole your android phone, " tried to log in to your phone but failed" in lots of email texts???when u see an app soliciting for donations, in every email they send you ,then think twice

Loved the app and all its features the first time around but I'm having trouble activating the System App (yes, my phone is rooted with SuperSu and BusyBox) feature and can't find a solution on the forums either. Not complaining, but the website could also use some beautification. Would like the developer team to be more active on the forums page or at least have some reviewers solving the problems. 90% of the posts only have people with questions and no solutions.

This app is great, theu recently made an option to hide the app behind a pin. Still wish there was a way to remotely power on the phone...most theives turn the phone off

Hello, I am using pro version. Few things kindly fix. 1. Sound Recording not working more than 1 minutes . 2. Introduce one mobile app for control, your web browser is not good for mobile. have many more bugs but kindly fix these two. Thanks Avijit Brahma

Great app! Only problem is that for some reason, many of the antivirus apps I've used flag this app as malicious. 360 Security, Norton, DU Security, and Malwarebytes are just some of the examples of the apps that scan false positively.

Every time I can't find my phone, I thank my lucky stars that I installed this app. It is amazing. Love taking pictures remotely and the location and alarm functions. Thank you Theis!

Part 1. Go to settings-security, and check your device administrators or phone administrator, Turn off (uncheck) androidlost, Part 2. then you should be able to find and delete it through the application manager, Part 3. if that doesn't work go to settings-apps/applications-ALL APPS- tap "personal notes" then Force Stop the app, then UNINSTALL, MAKE SURE YOU DO PART "1" FIRST THEN PART "3". this app may be fine, however, ITS VERY SCARY, AND POSSES A THREAT TO MY PERSONAL INFORMATION TO ME.

The app does exactly what the creator says it does. It could solve a lot of crime.

I want to be able to lock my phone via SMS. Not clear at all if this app allows for that. It seems that the free version is featureless and just a bait for the paid one.

This is very good app it shows the location without GPS turned on. It also take the photo of the thief then send it to email that you registered with lostandroid website.

It's so clear and easy to use. Don't get distracted by the awful video. I'm pretty astonished. And this is just a beta version.... I hope the developer don't include annoying animations

Probably the best anti-theft app against it's own rivals that costs you money to work properly. I greatly appreciate all the hard efforts to build this reliable anti-theft app, however, this application appears to be one-click away against my device's task manager. As much as I wanted to add this to ignore list/whitelist and prevent it from closing, my phone (Redmi Note 3 Pro) don't support it. I'll be more than glad if Lost Android's task integration will be adjusted for our device's needs. Thanks devs!

Why is the app detected as malware threat now? It was very usefull but now i'm not so sure anymore...
