About SOUND Meter - with Alarm
With our app you can determine the sound in decibels of a room in real time with the microphone of your android phone, and create alarms from these values.
This application allows us the following features:
1) Decibels indicator (dB) in real time.
2) Show the reference value for each type of environment (Park, concert, library) as the sound level we are measuring.
3) ALARM from minimum and maximum, by which we can define an alarm system to alert us when we get to a minimum decibel or maximum and be notified! (New functionality in playstore), also works in Background mode.
4) Calibrate decibels to adjust the microphone from every phone / tablet. (The standard microphones are aligned to the human voice, must be taken into account).

When changing threshold to 80 alerted constantly. Seems to refuse to save settings in some circumstances because it thinks no changes have been made (hint: to avoid violating principle of least surprise, pretend to save when the user wants to save even if there is nothing to do). Changed calibration to -10 and now completely insensitive to sound. Not sure what the test button does. Not sure what reset button does, doesn't seem to reset anything. Seems to have the intended features I need (simple background noise alert), so I might try installing again later if glitches fixes. Good first project, though, have to start someplace.
