Aldiko Book Reader Premium

Why does this App need to run 24/7? Don't see why it still is in use when not running as is draining the battery. Also I take it the data traffic when not in use is for the store? Please confirm that.Edit thanks for the update but no,do not and will not be downloading from your shop. In end disabling app was the only way. Disappointing.

Dear developers, I've been loving Aldiko since 4 years ago so thanks for making this amazing app! I have one problem with Aldiko though, I just hope that Aldiko would save my 'sort' and 'filter' settings. I feel a bit annoyed that I have to set my preferences every time I restart my Aldiko. Thank you for your help

I can't upload my own eBook. What happened?? When I go to the Files setting, it was loading and loading and loading but nth was loaded. When I go to my own eBook and open with aldiko, it was like importing and importing and importing but nth was imported. It wasn't like this last time.

Okay here we go with another issue. Got my books added but some are not pulling up. It's shows Aldiko as the cover page instead of my actual book covers then when I click on that particular aldiko covered book it crashes please fix I need all And I do mean ALL ALL MY BOOKS TO PULL UP. AND THANK YOU

A brilliant reading app that I have been using for quite some time now. My only complaint is that it cannot read Mobi type books, which i have been encountering recently, meaning i need another app aswell as this one.

I'm so mad that I paid for the full version of this! I have thousands of books and think it's absolutely ridiculous that I can't sync my books between devices without having to reupload them. I'm contacting Google to see if I can get a refund :-(

After a short period of no issues with read-aloud feature the app has reverted to overriding my Android default read aloud voice and substituting an American female voice (which is not my chosen default.) Each time book is re-opened have to re-select my choice of voice. Just a small annoyance, another app I have doesn't do that.

Recently, I tried the text-to-speech feature but I can't change the voice! My TTS default settings: Google, UK English, male voice. The one in the app is US English, female. Hope the developers can address this! Otherwise it's a good ebook reader.

I prefer aldiko over the overdrive app to read books I check out from the library. Aldiko integrates seemlessly and allows you to checkout books from your local library from within aldiko. Note latest release has indeed fixed this feature. Support for this app is excellent

After one time usage I went straight to premium. Its a fantastic app. I wish u could make turning the pages of the books animated for a real book feelings. Can't wait for that update...

After years of dedication to Aldiko, I'm sorry to say that it seems I have to choose a different e-reader app. I don't don't have room on my phone's internal memory to store all my e-books, and Aldiko has not added the ability to process books on the SD card, despite it being previously requested. If this should ever change, I will probably return, but for now, farewell, Aldiko.

I've used this app for ages and really haven't had a problem until recently... now, the pages turn painfully slow. What could cause this?

Bought long ago. Bought many books. That tablet has now been replaced but can't get the books I bought, no sync. Even the complaint/question process to Aldiko doesn't work properly so a poor rating is my only recourse. Save your money. Go w Kindle and get what works.

I love aldiko. It's my go to android app for books. I would like to suggest a new feature though. Y'all should make it so that we can change the background of the bookshelf.

I read a lot in low light conditions and Aldiko allows the most control over the background, font colors and brightness of any reader I've found, and I've used most of them.

Was better, I think developers should upgrade it's engine , app work so slow (menus, page switchs) even with smallest books.

Back on top. They take a while for updates, but they are always worth it.

Aldiko Book Reader Premium is by far the prettiest eBook reader I have found and overall, seems to work the best... The interface is fluid and seemingly without lag; everything "just works". There is still room for improvement though. For example, it would be great if I could synchronize the progress of my eBooks between Android devices - and don't even get me started on the infamous "robot voice" (when using text-to-speech). At the end of the day, Alkido Book Reader Premium is a powerful alternative eBook reader and if you're someone whom strips the DRM (digital rights management - copyright protection) from your eBooks, there really is no other choice.

This was supposed to be the best app on the market, but couldn't prove by to me. Have app set to use external storage on my tablet and it still insists on putting files on the limited internal memory. What a waste of money.

This company cheated me with this product. I tried to resolve it but they don't respond on emails. They haven't refunded my payment. In summary the product doesn't work.

Crashes when I try to get covers, unable to change fonts poor poor, poor now too late to get my money back. An absolute disgrace to charge with so many bugs.

Does not offer multi device sync. Should be a premium option. Translation should not open in google translate but instead show a pop-up with the translation within the app.

I wish I could bookmark the books I want as I go through them, to find them later. Also in having trouble with putting in the payment inf, it always says error

If the front page looks wrong, I can upload any image I like and use it instead. Sweet!

Stopped working from the SD card recently. Quite upsetting. Paid premium version.

Won't let me log into my library site after the latest update, which makes it useless to me.

Loading is to slow

Still no sync. WHY?

This app was AWFUL. First of all, it took my books away! MY BOOKS! That I OWNED! Who cares if it offers you a chance to lend books to a buddy if it's going to crash every chance it gets and beg for money after stealing your books out of your library. And if has Nothing to do with my Pixel C tablet or my top speed internet connection. No excuses. Sorry guys. Aldiko has just hit rock bottom.

I've been using this app for some time and I loved it so I purchased the premium version for the text to speech feature.. it was working fine until i started a new book and the reader has a really thick spanish accent (that doesn't happen with other books) Otherwise it'd be 5 stars

Useless. It can load and read PDFs, and probably ebooks from this 'feedbooks' store - but that's about it. Wouldn't read kindle ebooks. It's all about pushing there own ebook store (this 'feedbooks' thing it wants me to log into). So glad I logged in using Facebook - apparently it's not enough that I PAID for the premium version, I also had to give over my Facebook profile etc (oh btw, my bloodtype is O(Rh)Pos if you need that information to on-sell too). Now I can't get a refund - I'll take that as a personal fine for being stupid enough to purchase this stupid app.

Aldiko was the best app until I paid and downloaded the premium version. It crashes very often and as soon as I open a book the screen darkens so much makes it almost impossible to read more than a few min. I tried to reach the owners and report but i faced with so many obstacles...it is not easy to access the owners of such wonderful app. I hope they read this and fix both problems.

I upgraded for the text to speech feature and it doesn't work on my Droid Maxx2. Also, it doesn't acknowledge my SD card. It only sees the phone's internal storage. Which means you have to add every book one at a time. Takes forever, when you have a lot of material you want to add. Don't know why the text to speech won't work on my phone. I got it to work on my tablet. Okay, now over half the books and other publications on my shelves, won't open for me. It's like they no longer exist. Afraid to update, for fear things will go from bad to worse. :(

Could you possibly link it to an online cloud storage? So Its not using up my phone storage. Unless it does that now then don't mind my review :)

Really, the best e-reader app around. Fast, but doesn't skimp on the features. Combine this with a Calibre server and you've got a reader's heaven!

When ever i add my own books it freezes at 14%. Doesnt tell me what file its stuck on so i dont know what book is corrupted. :(

Would be five stars. I paid for the premium app, now I get a pop-up asking for 5more dollars? Wtf is that?
