יִתְגַּדַּל וְיִתְקַדַּשׁ שְׁמֵהּ רַבָּא
בְּעָלְמָא דִּי בְרָא כִרְעוּתֵה,
וְיַמְלִיךְ מַלְכוּתֵהּ
וְיַצְמַח פֻּרְקָנֵהּ
וִיקָרֵב מְשִׁיחֵהּ.
בְּחַיֵּיכוֹן וּבְיוֹמֵיכוֹן
וּבְחַיֵּי דְכָל בֵּית יִשְׂרָאֵל,
בַּעֲגָלָא וּבִזְמַן קָרִיב
וְאִמְרוּ אָמֵן.

יְהֵא שְׁמֵהּ רַבָּא מְבָרַךְ
לְעָלַם וּלְעָלְמֵי עָלְמַיָּא
יִתְבָּרַךְ וְיִשְׁתַּבַּח וְיִתְפָּאֵר
וְיִתְרוֹמֵם וְיִתְנַשֵּׂא וְיִתְהַדָּר
וְיִתְעַלֶּה וְיִתְהַלָּל, שְׁמֵהּ דְקֻדְשָׁא
בְּרִיךְ הוּא.
לְעֵלָּא מִן כָּל בִּרְכָתָא
וְשִׁירָתָא תֻּשְׁבְּחָתָא
וְנֶחֱמָתָא דַּאֲמִירָן בְּעָלְמָא

יְהֵא שְׁלָמָא רַבָּא מִן שְׁמַיָּא
וְחַיִּים טוֹבִים עָלֵינוּ וְעַל כָּל יִשְׂרָאֵל
חַיִּים וְשָׁבָע וִישׁוּעָה
וְנֶחָמָה וְשֵׁיזָבָא וּרְפוּאָה
וּגְאֻלָּה וּסְלִיחָה וְכַפָּרָה
וְרֵוַח וְהַצָּלָה לָנוּ
וּלְכָל עַמּוֹ יִשְׂרָאֵל

עוֹשֶׂה שָׁלוֹם בִּמְרוֹמָיו
הוּא בְּרַחֲמָיו יַעֲשֶׂה שָׁלוֹם
עָלֵינוּ וְעַל כָּל יִשְׂרָאֵל

קריאת קדיש יתום - היא תפילה לעילוי נשמת הנפטר, נשמה נצחית ודברי שבח לאל
עיקרו של הקדיש הוא בקשה להתגדלות והתקדשות שמו הגדול ומלכותו.
אין לומר את הקדיש שלא בציבור, כך שחייב להיות לפחות מניין הקדיש נאמר בכל תפילה כמה פעמים על ידי שליח ציבור, כמו כן, הוא נאמר על אנשים שנפטרו על ידי קרוביהם או אחרים. בהקשר לאדם שנפטר, הוא נאמר בכל תפילה במשך שנה לאחר המוות ובכל אזכרה למת.
