Kisah 25 Nabi & Rasul Lengkap

Kata "nabi" berasal dari kata naba yang berarti "dari tempat yang tinggi"; karena itu orang 'yang di tempat tinggi' semestinya punya penglihatan ke tempat yang jauh (prediksi masa depan) yang disebut nubuwwah.

Para ulama menyebutkan banyak perbedaan antara nabi dan rasul, akan tetapi penjelasan disini hanya menjelaskan sebagaian saja. Di antara perbedaan itu adalah:
- Jenjang kerasulan lebih tinggi daripada jenjang kenabian
- Rasul diutus kepada kaum yang kafir, sedangkan nabi diutus kepada kaum yang telah beriman.
- Para rasul diutus dengan membawa syari’at baru, sedangkan nabi hanya mengikuti syari'at sebelumnya,
- Seluruh rasul diselamatkan dari percobaan pembunuhan dari umatnya, tetapi sebagian para nabi pernah dibunuh oleh umatnya.
- Ibnu Katsir berkata bahwa, Ibnu Abi Hatim meriwayatkan sebuah hadits dari sahabat Abu Ubaidah, ia mengatakan bahwa umat Yahudi pernah membunuh 43 nabi sekaligus dipagi hari, kemudian ada sekelompok orang shalih yang menentang pembunuhan tersebut, namun di sore harinya sekelompok orang shalih tersebut dibunuh mereka pula.

Para nabi boleh menyampaikan wahyu yang diterimanya tetapi tidak punya kewajiban atas umat tertentu atau wilayah tertentu. Sementara, kata "rasul" berasal dari kata risala yang berarti penyampaian. Karena itu, para rasul, setelah lebih dulu diangkat sebagai nabi, bertugas menyampaikan wahyu dengan kewajiban atas suatu umat atau wilayah tertentu.

Al-Qur'an menyebut beberapa orang sebagai nabi. Nabi pertama adalah Adam dan nabi terakhir ialah Muhammad yang ditugaskan untuk menyampaikan Islam dan peraturan yang khusus kepada manusia di zamannya sehingga Manusia siap untuk menghadapi hari kiamat.

The scholars cite many differences between the prophets and apostles, but the explanation here is only explained in part only. Among those differences are:
- Study apostolate higher than the level of prophethood
- Rasul sent to the unbelievers, while the prophet was sent to a people who have faith.
- The apostle sent with the new Shari'ah, whereas the prophet only following previous shari'ah,
- All the apostles saved from attempted murder of his people, but most of the prophets never be killed by his people.
- Ibn Kathir says that, Ibn Abi Hatim narrated a hadith from companions Abu Ubaidah, he said that the Jews had killed 43 prophets once in the morning, then there was a group of righteous people who oppose the killing, but in the afternoon, a group of righteous people that killed them also.

The prophets received revelations permitted to pass but no obligation on certain people or certain regions. Meanwhile, the word "apostle" comes from the word meaning submission Risala. Therefore, the apostles, after first appointed as a prophet, in charge of revelation to the obligation of a people or a particular region.

The Quran calls some as a prophet. The first prophet was Adam and the last prophet was Muhammad who was assigned to convey Islam and regulations specific to man in his day so that Man is ready to face the day of Judgment.
