Builder Base Layouts

When you do Versus Battles in your Builder Base, it's not just about doing a good attack; It's also about defending your opponent's opponent. A good base can save a lot of attacks and can even offset bad attacks with good defense. I have experienced a lot of Versus bickering when I did not get a Star or 50% destruction, but my base managed to get my back and save me a victory. In this guide, I will show you some defensive tips and some basic layouts for your Base Builder.
Builder Base Defending Tips

I know a lot here still in the mindset of attack Multiplayer Attack or Clan War, where violation> defense. In Versus Battles, your defensive strength has a direct impact on the outcome and can be a decisive factor between victory and loss.

If you have a bad base and consistently get a 2-star or 3-star defense against your base, you will not be able to earn much of a victory and your nice attack can result in a tie or even a loss.
As you can see, my base really got my back here and I will never win an attack without the solid design I have (I'll show it to you below).

If you think that winning rate does not matter, you are wrong. You need to push in early, even if you reach your daily gift cap. Getting 1000 trophies will make your life a lot easier as you will then get more resources every day!

It took about 2 hours to get to that point on a fresh BH3 base and I can only recommend you to do the same. You will get enough resources from your 3 attacks every day to keep your Lab and Builder busy all day long.

I will not be able to win if my opponent does not have a Hall Builder outside: Offset Builder Hall You are giving away one Star for free - your opponent must not conspire with your Builder. Hall easily on the wall or directly from the outside!
Close Wall

Closing Wall is very important. This will force the attacking army to take the path you want them to take.

I know it's tempting to build a funnel with a wall, but your opponent will perform much better against your base when you do not have a ring or a closed wall line.
Defense Sniping - Not With Me!

You probably do not have a lot of defenses in your Base Builder yet, so everyone can count! Once someone goes down, your overall defense is much weaker.

Many attackers know this so they will try to get it out first - you have to prevent it altogether!
