GoComics

Is this a bad psych test? Random comics? No one here but the pet rat can get it to work. Uninstalling - don't want to harm the rat.

Yet another update, and now it's even worse. I swear to God, I think that GoComics does this out of pure spite. The only thing more painful than this app is reading on the actual website, or getting kicked in the nuts, that's genuinely painful. Now the search function for comics doesn't work along with the search by date function for individual strips. I've seen apps programmed by highschoolers that worked better than this. The only way this piece of crap app could get worse is if I couldn't read comic strips at all (or it forced me to read only The Knight Life, which would cause it to be declared an instrument of torture). The only reason I still keep the app is because I still can read my daily comic strips. Until I'm able to find a better app for them I'm willing to put up with it. I also preferred the old way for sorting favorites but only because that was how I saved my place when reading the older strips for certain comics. So screw you too GoComics

Having all my favorite comics in one place is great. Annoying when there is no comic for today. Should show most recent comic, rather than a blank page. Then it would be 5 stars.

What's wrong with this app... I try for calvin and hobbes you show up some other comics... Which earlier is not the issue.. Fix it as of now I'm uninstalling

All you have to do is go to your device's app manager & clear the cache & data for this app. Yes its that easy folks. No need to cry over broken apps, no need to uninstall/reinstall. Just step right up and give it a try. You won't be disappointed folks.

I love the app, but I can't get past the fact that it was having serious issues that I only learned how to resolve through the other reviews. There are ways to communicate with your users.

Good selection of comics but at some point they screwed up an update and now when you go over to the editorial cartoons the only one you can see is Palo Alcaraz. Update. Every section of the program is screwed up except the my comics. The example comics and new comics show comics which do not march the titles listed.

Pro member. Two comics pages. Only one page accessible. Really, GoComics? The app is useless to me until you fix that.

gocomics works great on the windows phone, but on Android it fails. it can never find strips on any date.. the web site also fails. they have good content, but their ux design is also a joke.

This app stopped working. Rarely it will open a comic strip but slowly and won't allow me to see anything but todays strip. Used to work great

Now shows the wrong comic for the one selected OR shows "this comic isn't available for the selected date" This has totally turned me off from reading comics on my cellphone. And to think I was considering stopping our local paper and using this! No way. Please fix ASAP or I'm gone as this has been happening almost all of 2017!

Love this app, however after the recent updates, it doesn't work. Different comics are shown for each other and still isnt fixed even after re-installing the app. :( After 30 minutes, it now works, not sure what helped, but glad its working!

What are you guys doing. When i click on dilbert it takes me to some other world wonder or some Random comic. Non sense

Wasnt working, uninstalled it, reloaded it. Working just fine and putting a smile back on my face in the morning. Not a big deal.

Worked fine until last update. Now doesn't load comics or open consistently if at all. Enjoyed using it previoisly now thinking of deleting.

THAT'S better. The new update fixed the messed up comics. Thank you. Back to 5 stars!

Used to work great. Now all my comics have disappeared from my favorites, search doesn't work, and if you actually can find it making it a favorite doesn't work.

It doesn't seem to work, I even used it on Windows phone but it's not working on there either, please fix, we love this app, and your going to lose revenue because no one will see the ads because the app isn't working. You will lose money.

This is a great comic strip app there is a huge variety of comic strips plus everything I grew up with I'm very impressed with this app the only reason I rated it four stars is because of the inability to save where you were reading from but I emailed gocomics and they tell me they are working on a bookmark to save your spot so when this is done I will be rating it 5 stars

Great app! I can read all my favorite comics for free. Never need to buy a newspaper for the funny pages ever again! You do have to use the internet to view them, so i take screenshots of my favorites and save them that way.

I prefer the app to the website, as it is easier to scroll through my favorites every day. However, it is easier to set up and arrange the list of favorites in the web site...

Swiping is a problem. If I swipe up and my finger goes off to one side a little bit, it tries to go to the next/previous day. A swipe ACROSS the screen should do that. Come on.

Now site is COMPLETELY Broken!!! Real useful "Update" :( Very tired of "signing in" 10 - 15 times to read 20 comics! And Yes, I've un-installed & re-install countless times!

I just put this app in and the only problem I have with this is you have everything i love to read my comics except for one thing is you don't have beetle bailey. Can you please help me with this thank you.

Latest few updates screwed it up. When you click on a comic it sends you to the wrong ones. Edit: clear the data/cache and it will go back to normal

Love the app. Updated just fine for my phone. All my favorite comics all in one place! Only wish I could arrange my comics the way I want them without having to delete all of them and then re-add them in the order I want. (They had this feature on Windows Phone and I loved being able to rearrange them when I found a new comic I liked.) Sonetimes I accidentally push "remove comic" and when I add it back to my list, it is in a different location. I really hate having them "out of order" and then having to take the time to make them right again.

I loved this app but I have to ask what use having a mobile app is if it won't work on a mobile network? It's been over a year since I've been able to use this app while on mobile data, I've even switched phones since then so I'm pretty certain it isn't on my end. It still works fine on wifi but ever since one of the updates last year I have no ability to use mobile. Really disappointing.

This had been one of my go to apps, but unfortunately for the last few months the directory of links to a majority of comics do not work. I would think this would be an easy fix, but technical support has not tried to manage the directory. I kiss using this app to view my favorite comics. Please speak with the developers to maintain this product efficiently and effectively.

Worked pretty well til last update which ruined it. Uninstalled. May try it again later and revise rating if it is fixed. Seeing a LOT of angry reviews here recently--where the hell are your administrators/Web developers guys? Do you even have a clue what you did to your app and viewers? EDIT: Uninstalled/reinstalled. Third time. Finally worked. App is now pretty much identical to before update, which was fine. Upgrade to four stars because I love my comics.

I don't know what somebody did to this app, but it couldn't be any more screwed up. The comics all point to the wrong one or else say not available. Releasing this, obviously without the most elementary testing, is ridiculous beyond belief. How could any developer worthy of the name not realize that you have to test something first?

It wasn't working for a few days. I did the recommended​ uninstall and reinstalled it and now it's working. But because I had missed a few days I went to scroll to the previous day's comics and it won't let me swipe the screen to go back. I have to go actually select the date. That's kind of annoying but it's good other than that.

Not sure what happened, but the app no longer works. Comics either won't open, or the icon is linked to the wrong comic. Please fix it. It's one of my favorite apps and I miss the daily dose of happy from it.

Sincce the database upgrade/changes the Comics displayed when you first open the ap either don't display or the display name and the comic don't match. The My Comics Page list has the correct links from name to comic. Deleting and reloading the ap doesn't fix the issues. Works, sloppy implementation IMHO.

Good for you; make the one app I looked forward to using completely unresponsive. Even the daily comics aren't appearing-the message is can't chose that date. IT'S TODAY'S DATE FOR PITY'S SAKE.

Love the comics, but since the update a couple of weeks ago the app pulls up the wrong comic or won't pull up anything at all. Pretty major glitch. To bad, I used to use this app everyday to read comics.

What happened? Since they updated the website the app doesn't work and the site is more work than it's worth. Tried updating and reinstalling app. It points to the wrong cartoons. Why do they always try and fix what works?

The only app I've found to read the daily newspaper comics. Has a nice list of favorites as well as new ones to try. You can add your favorites to a personalied page. This app was broken for a while (early 2017) but is working well now.

The web version works better than this! Clicking on any comic either produces the wrong publication or none at all. [Google review asks "does this app have free cancellation" wtf kind of question is that?] Uninstalled.

Had issue with comics not matching their icons and then saying comic not available. Tried update -- did not work. Uninstalled then re-installed -- working fine now. Love this app when it's working correctly.

Pre 2017 all was good. Now the comics links are messed up. I can't even find my comics to read. Do correct this please !
