MOT History

I used it recently to compare 2 cars and it helped me with my decision. Knowing what it failed on and how many advisery notes/notices it has was very usefull. I've also used it to look at cars I've been curious about. Works perfectly to date.

After being stung buying cars in the past, this app is helping me hugely I'm my hunt for a 2nd runaround. Being able to see previous recent Mot's gives you big clues as to the current condition, or at least give you some questions to ask the seller. It's amazing how many advisories don't get sorted from one year to the next, indicating that a fault is imminent.

I have tried a few of these apps and they have been disappointing to say the least. So far this has worked fine and has given a bit of leverage when purchasing my next vehicle. It's also good for showing mileage discrepancies as well as faults for fails and a pattern of not rectifying previous advice

Great App for checking up on your car and friends and family's cars, or any your interested in buying. Shame it doesn't tell you when your road tax is due.

"Find any vehicle MOT history fast"...well not quite ANY vehicle as it doesn't recognise Northern Ireland registrations. Very disappointing.

Very handy, found all previous MOT fails and the reason. Mileage history is very useful when buying a new car. Also good to find out the due date for MOT and road tax. Thanks developers.

This is a no non sense app that does exactly what it says. It quickly gives the MOT lowdown on the vehicle, warts and all. Spot a car registration in the advert, whack it into this app and there is the info of its past, I use this app a lot.

What greater way of checking a cars mileage history and previous Mot failures! Even found out a fault on my own car was historic. Brilliant app and a triumph for technology and the consumer. An spreading the word....

This app does just what it says. Any problems are minor and mentioned in other reviews.

I searched for my grandparents old 2002 fiesta and the app said it had done 936,000 miles, on the next test the mileage had gone down by 800,000

Downloaded this app after reading all the reviews. But no matter what registration or make I put in it comes up with nothing?!

The information provided is very useful apart from the graph where the axis labels are unreadable. I can crash the program every time by turning the phone to landscape!

Didn't find my car says no mot right reg and manufacture. Rubbish

As they say "it does what it says on the tin". All the information you could need to help with the history of a vehicle. Useful features include a mileage graph which in an instant can highlight any anomalies in normal use.

Helped me out just hope the info is right and up to date if so has stopped me buying vehicles with clocks turned back and advisorys that have not been done so thanks keep up the good work

This app is great. You can normally only obtain the vehicle MOT history with the V5 log book number so absolutely brilliant. Love being able to check the mileage too. Not too many ads I thought. This is a really useful tool if you're looking to buy a car. We'll done!

It's easier to use than gov websites but too basic and GUI not great. Foud much better app which is free to but much more pleasant.

every time I open it the app crashes says stopped working so I gave up uninstalled it

Great app, tried it on my own van,I had forgotten half the stuff I have had done or had replaced. Will be great tool when getting next vehicle

Wow glad i downloaded this found out my old yamaha rd had done more miles than clock says. Great app

This app fails to update and show the latest status MOT and VED - other apps can clearly process and display said updates in a timely manner.

I have checked 2 cars I would have bought, this app let me see what was really wrong with them, a definite 5*.

This app saved me a bit of cash whilst looking for a newish car. Been looking for a cheap runaround and twice where the dealer mentioned that there were no advisories at the last MOT. Same for private sellers.

You can find this info online via the gov so glad there not trying to charge, good app.

Does exactly as described. And the fun to be had by a passenger putting in the reg of the car in front when stuck in traffic!

Great app. Brilliant if buying a vehicle not only to check mileage but also if there are any recurring faults

The dvla's own website will supply the same information for free so why pay for it

Thai app is great, you know right away after the Moot what the failures/advisories are. Would be great if it pulled in an approximate price for the repair

Tried this a couple of times now and its realy usefull to know what a car has previosly failed on and how if at all the work has been repaired .

Great App BUT is the information up to date. How often is the App data base updated or does it run off DVLA site? It shows some cars as green (having a current MOT ) sometimes months after expiry date, or does this just shows mot results, and not present validity? Either way, fast and seems ok.

If you like to know everything about a vehicle your thinking of purchasing.. then this app will tell you if an mot has failed.. on what.. date.. you can cross ref with previous mots. And check it with sellers service history. Its not an app for every day use.. that's why I gave 4 stars. But anything to keep you informed when buying a vehicle today can save you money in the long run. As you know.. on most dealers receipt.. trade sale.. private buying.. sold as seen.. means the same thing.. Your vehicle now

Having been got so used to being let down by buggy apps, this is one that actually runs as you feel the developer intended. What's more it's actually got a point and even presents fairly relevant ads. I even spotted that an old car of mine had 'lost' 60,000 miles after I sold it. Nice app lads.

Being a small time car dealer i use a few of these apps as they are very handy. This app is good its riddled with ads, more so than the others but you can pay to remove them. The layout is very nice, its the only app iv come across that seperates mot passes and failures making it fast and easy to view them. My only complaint is there is no option to store your cars so as to keep an eye on when your mot and tax are running out. If it incorporated this it would be the best app i have come across.

Amazing app download it to check my motorbikes history got the result i wanted also checked the family's cars. Not an app you would use every day its one of those tools you keep to one side to get you out the s##t excellent app

Edited- 2 stars for only asking for simple permissions & was a little harsh in previous review so this is a rewrite. Work's provides MOT info have to enter reg & brand of car not a big issue but would be better if you didn't need to enter brand. Font & spacing of displayed info for me was not great on my S5 as it spaced everything too much and I found the graph not useful. I like the tabs separating pass, fail etc which is handy a reworking of info presented will make this a much better app.

When I first tried this app on my own car following its first MOT. The app showed that the milage of my car was in excess of 338,000 mls. I immediately thought the app was totally wrong. I was advised by the app creator to check the mileage put onto the MOT cert. I checked the certificate and sure enough the 338k miles had been put other certificate by error. it was a long process but managed to get the correct mileage put on the MOT records following showing evidence to the DVSA area authority.

Great little app and very handy indeed, especially when looking for a secondhand car. Tiny bug: screen rotation causes app to crash on my Sony Xperia Z5 (UK, E6653, Android version 6.0.1).

Good app, useful when buying a car, one problem is when you are in app if you change rotation of your screen the app crashes. Other little thing is you can go back to 2009 on the DVLA website. And maybe because of scale the text of dates and mileages are a bit small and I use a galaxy S6 Edge.
